Dear Channel 7 — Please put on Lost in a decent timeslot and date and do it soon after the US airdate! Lost has many dedicated fans who don’t deserve to be treated so poorly. It is not even listed as a Channel 7 show on the website and not being promoted at all with the others — Grey’s, Desp HW, Dirty Sexy Money.

I agree with Jack’s post about what they’ll do (#2) and then they blame the public for not watching when they haven’t advertised when it’ll be back on at all. A phone call to 7 gets an answer of, “Sometime in early 2009.” What?

one of two things will happen with the new season:

1. seven will give the show another chance with a two hour premiere 8:30pm thursday feb 5th with no prior advertisement. The show will then be dumped to 10:30pm the following week.

2. Seven will return the show to a 10:30pm timeslot. Then, we will have to endure articles telling us that the show is not rating despite a poor timeslot and no advertising!

This is truley one of the best shows of the decade. I cannot wait for Season 5. With all the FTA networks getting a second channel there is absolutely no excuse in delaying this.

Surely 7 will air this? They have every other year. It is one of their big shows that I watch Seven for (as well as Heroes and Prison Break).

I am so not turning to downloading, I can’t be bothered with that stuff, so please Seven.. get this up and soon on the TV staying close with the US.

well i’m not a downloader, as long as 7 airs it in their starting lineup from Feb i will not be tempted to seek alternatives.

other interesting things in casting are jin, michael, ana-lucia, danielle, and grant bowlers character are all returning which of course, knowing lost, is no indication of if the characters are alive or not.

also miles and faraday’s characters get star billing and charlottes character doesn’t (???)

I’m sure it’ll be a hot download in Australia, irrespective of how good channel seven will treat this show. Their track record is shocking (overruns, taking shows off air without notice, etc etc), and i won’t hesitate to download the new season when it arrives. It has gotten to the point where it doesn’t really matter if they wake up tomorrow and realise people won’t come back and they start treating people with respect – the people they drove away are long gone. But the people still watching them are the ones they need to please.

its interesting to see that Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) has been signed as a full time actor. i was under the impression that his storylines were over and he was departing the show.

also aussie emilie de ravin (claire) has been demoted to recurring guest star. which is a shame, she was my fav.

i love lost. this season looks great. i doubt it will start strait after the US premier because of the tennis, but hopefully 7 do 2 episodes a week to catch up.

a also hope it can find a steady home at (thursday?) 10:30 to run its time. the season is only 17 eps so i guess its not too much to ask.

Man I love this show! But yes it looks like seven will be airing this season, as it did the last, either on its second digital channel, at 10:30pm. Which really is such a shame if you ask me.

This is just the most fantastic, most amazing show.

Here’s hoping Seven do the right thing and give it a solid 10.30pm slot, as soon as the season begins (after the tennis I guess).

From the great buzz that this show has had from the first airing, i finally checked it out at the beginning of November this year. I watched all of seasons 1-4 on DVD (I bought them – i do support the industry, just not our FTA industry) and finished a few days ago. I can’t wait for season 5.

wow this season is really looking promising. fingers crossed that 7 fast tracks. although their package in the new years show that talked about what is coming up for 2009 didn’t mention any of the shows i’m interested in.

i think it is really smart the way 7 have done these starter kits for several US shows and they are advertising them quite well, however they have picked just about every US show that i don’t watch. and even with a starter kit i will not start watching, i know what i do and don’t want to watch from the very beginning, i don’t jump on bandwagons while they are already moving. they did one of those for last season of lost where you were caught up on lost in like 3 mins so why not include lost this year with all the others, does not bode well for losts treatment.
