Returning: South Park

South Park is back, ready to take on the Olympics, Barack Obama, Steven Spielberg and more.

The second part of South Park‘s twelfth season will return to SBS on Monday night, after screening in the US in October.

In the first episode the show targets China and its Olympic legacy. While Cartman and Butters confront the Chinese and try to uncover a conspiracy plan to take over the US, the rest of the American people, are concerned with a recent tragic event involving Indiana Jones, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.

Next month we’ll also get to see the episode with Barack Obama that aired just days after him election win.

Monday’s episode airs at the special time of 9pm before resuming in its 8:30 timeslot a week later.

South Park returns with seven all new episodes beginning Monday, 5 January on SBS.

The new episodes feature all the familiar characters and also some famous personalities, such as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and America’s new president Barack Obama.

The China Probrem

While Cartman and Butters confront the Chinese and try to uncover their conspiracy plan to take over the US, the rest of the American people, with Kyle and Stan in lead, are concerned with a recent tragic event involving Indiana Jones, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas.

Breast Cancer Show Ever
Monday, 12 January

After Wendy delivers a presentation on breast cancer, Cartman makes fun of her and keeps provoking her until she challenges him to a fight. Everyone at school is told about the fight. Wendy is so fired up that Cartman starts to worry he might be beaten up. He keeps finding ways to get out of the fight, but continues to provoke Wendy further. Will there be a fight?

Pandemic
Monday, 19 January
8.30pm
While the world struggles to contain an epidemic of epic proportions, the boys invite Craig to help them start up a Peruvian pan flute band and make money of it.

Pandemic 2: The Startling
Monday, 26 January

Giant guinea pigs are attacking cities all over the world. The boys have the key that will save everyone from the onslaught but they’re stranded in the Andes Mountains. In an ancient temple the boys discover that Craig is the only one, who can stop the terror, but they don’t know how. Will they be able to find out in time?

About Last Night…
Monday, 2 February

While the country celebrates the outcome of the election, the new President-elect catches everyone off guard when he arrives at the White House prematurely.

Elementary School Musical
Monday, 9 February
8.30pm
The boys are at risk of losing their status of ‘coolest kids in school’ and therefore must embrace the latest fad to hit South Park Elementary.

The Ungroundable
Monday, 16 February
8.30pm
The Goth Kids at South Park Elementary seem to have powerful rivals. Butters is sure he’s seen a Vampire at school but he can’t get anyone to listen to him. Meanwhile, the Goth Kids are angry and frustrated when the other kids can’t tell the difference between a Goth and a Vampire.

  1. I’m probably the least prudish person I know, and a South Park fan, yet the ‘China’ episode last night was over the top and rediculous. Yeah we get the point lads, they ‘raped’ Indiania Jones. As a passing comment (and the scenes at the start) it may have been humorous. However, they did need to show us three different dream sequences showing them taking turns ‘raping’ Indy.

    Seems like a desperate bid to revive ratings to me. Although this is nothing new for South Park, at least ordinarily it is funny.
