If this trailer is anything to go by, the new kids of Skins are a wicked bunch -and probably a damn entertaining bunch too.
They get up to no good in this pub scene, in the drama by Bryan Elsley.
It returns to the UK on January 22nd. SBS is currently repeating S1 on Monday nights.

Effy is the only original cast member who’s staying behind.
Pandora will also be a regular (she appeared in Effy’s episode in Season 2).
Not all of the original cast is gone. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that Tony’s sister Effy?

I so cannot wait to see this now. The new cast are absolutely hot and while of course I’ll badly miss the old cast (especially Maxxie and Cassie), I’m pretty sure I’ll find new faves among this bunch. Love it! Hurry up and air it SBS.

Naw i don’t want to forget the old cast. xD I suppose i could buy the DVD’s so i don’t. I think I’m going to keep an open mind about it. I was the same when i first heard the original characters weren’t going to be in it but ill watch the first episode (probably on the internet on the 23rd of Jan or something) and then make up my mind but the trailer did look pretty good.

I have also been a bit apprehensive about the new skins cast.. i thought that them getting rid of the old cast would absolutely kill the show. But i read a review which has sort of changed my perception on it all… I realised that the whole show is essentially going to be different, and apparently after 5 minutes of watching it, you will have forgotten about the old cast completely.. So now, i am really looking forward to the new series…. I just hope SBS do themselves a favour by airing it very soon after the UK …
Still a little apprehensive about the new characters, but if anyone can pull it off then it’s Skins. And that trailer is pretty good! (probably also to do with the fact that the song playing is one of my favourite songs!)
