She returns to her Neighbours role next week after Michala Banas stepped in when she took ill.
Following the rafting accident as the 2008 cliffhanger, the writers devised a cheeky opportunity to swap Banas and Valentine back over.
“I think it was so clever how they came up with that,” she laughs. “Michala goes under the water and I pop out. It’s great.
“It’s classic soap.”
Not quite as stunning as Pamela’s Dream in Dallas, but a clever device nonetheless!
Valentine adds that she didn’t watch any of Banas’ episodes. “Not because of Michala, God bless her, but because the best way I can describe it is that it would be like me watching my boyfriend make out with another woman.
And in this amusing reference, she also says she wants to stay put on the show: “I’ve been with this show half my life and it’s just looking so good and I’m so proud to still be a part of it,” she says. “I want to be the next Anne Haddy. There are worse places to be, my friend. I’m pretty happy where I am.”

yeah they may have shot this but it never aired, he just found her on the river bank and it was kym, no sign michala at all this year. unless they show it in a flashback or something i don’t think we are ever going to get to see this change over.
Umm David i hope you watched Neighbours today cuz i wanted to ask you if this happened. Cuz i’m 100% sure it didnt. I watched every second of it as i’ve been waiting for this moment – ‘Michala goes under the water and Lib pops out’… i’m left disappointed
