Spoiler: Superstars of Dance update

Spoiler: The finale of NBC's Superstars of Dance airs next Monday. What are Australia's chances?

NBC’s Superstars of Dance has its final next Monday, at just 5 episodes long.

So far there is still no indication of when Nine will air the show -a peculiar move.

The Australian team is still in as a Group Performance and as a duo with Giselle Peacock & Henry Byalikov, while out soloist is out.

If we win the thing everyone will know before the show airs. If we lose is there any point in watching?

In the last episode, Henry recreated a dance from So You Think You Can Dance with Giselle Peacock, choreographed by Jason Gilkinson.

The Russian judge said they were like “chicken and kiev.”

Here’s what Zap2It said:
Duos – Giselle Peacock & Henry Byalikov, Team Australia
The Latin ballroom specialists are dancing to African-flavored music. Henry is shirtless and I’m not mad at that, Giselle’s dress is fringe-tastic. The number had a lot of energy and spice to it. I liked it and thought it was much more memorable than their first time around.
Judges: 59 (8-9-8-8-8-9-9)

Team Australia:
Ireland tied the Australia group so they now have to do a tiebreaker, minus the Australian and Irish judges. Australia almost runs the table with the Chinese judge throwing his vote to Ireland.

As they face the show’s final next Monday night here are their scores so far:
Finalists for Solos
Russia: 63
USA: 61
India: 59

Finalists for Duets
Argentina: 63
Australia: 59
South Africa: 59

Finalists for Groups
USA: 66
China: 65
Australia: 62

The show hasn’t had great reviews, could it be for the placid hosting of Mr Michael Flately?

  1. Ok…. so im in the USA, and watching the show…. and the show is quite under polished compared to Nigel Lithgoe’s other works (Idol, SYTYCD), but Team Australia is amazing. The other countries went for ‘traditional’ acts, while Jason Gilkison has assembled a team of dancers, some that will blow u away. It nearly finished here, and the judging last week was very dramatic, but Australia has done better than any other country. Just watch out for the chinese judge. BAAAAAH!

  2. Nine should cash in on this while they can. They may not have heard of the internet but if their viewers get turn off by feedback they hear from ovserseas viewers/critics it will be their loss. There should be no need for the term “fastracking” of shows from overseas anymore. They should be shown as soon as possible these days in Australia to prevent value from being lost from their products (shows).
