The west turns T-VIS on

perth-western-australiaA new television development program is being set up in Western Australia by ScreenWest and the Australian Writer’s Guild.

The initiative known as T-Vis aims to assist drama projects move from concept development through to broadcaster commissioning.

“Well-developed projects” will gain opportunities with professional television writers, producers, and network development executives.

Television network commissioning editors will also provide advice on broadcast interest and potential.

T-VIS says it will also enhance skills in the presentation of projects and in building bridges with the domestic and international marketplaces for finance, broadcast and distribution.

Up to six projects in most dramatic formats (comedy, animation, children’s, telemovies, adult series and mini-series) will be considered. Projects that utilize digital and interactive platforms are encouraged.

Up to two projects will be selected for $15,000 in ScreenWest Project Development funds to assist in getting the projects to the next stage.
