Returning: Chandon Pictures

'Tom Chandon' will return somewhat defeated from a brief stint in Hollywood to wreak havoc once more.

cpicturesAs previously noted, the second season of Chandon Pictures will air soon, on the Movie Extra Channel.

The series returns to the misadventures of Tom Chandon (Rob Carlton) and his fledgling video production company Chandon Pictures. Darren Gileshenan and Rebecca Massey both return. Series 1 is currently screening on ABC1.

This time around Tom returns somewhat defeated from a brief stint in Hollywood. The Chandon house has been sold, Carmichael (Josh Lawson) has taken a job in Singapore and Chandon Pictures have opened up new headquarters.

Tom’s cousin Larraby (Charlie Garber) moves in, taking over the role of business manager. At first Tom, the once overzealous film maker and driving force behind the team, seems to have lost his special touch. But with some coaxing from his enthusiastic crew, he might just rediscover the great ‘documenteur’ within.

Season two premieres 9:30pm on Thursday 19th March.

  1. Is it perhaps just a little too satirical and ironic for you? In keeping with the by now infamous office series from Ricky Gervais, this is an Aussie take on the failings of the ubiquitous ‘wanna be’ movie producer and the sometimes cringe worthy impact he has on those around him.

I think it’s great. That said, I’m a pom and it may be more appealing to British humour and old school Aussie humour, as opposed to the American sitcom sodden present day excuse for comedy shown on most of the main channels.
