saddleclub1After its troubled production shoot, children’s series The Saddle Club will return to Nine and WIN on Saturday March 7th at 10:00am.

The 26 part children’s drama series follows the success of series 1 and 2, both in Australia and internationally. The third series is an Australian – Canadian co-production.

An all-new cast includes Australian Ariel Kaplan, Canadians Lauren Dixon and Victoria Campbell along with supporting cast member Marny Kennedy, who received the AFI Young Actor Award in 2006 for her role in Mortified.

Saddle Club Producer, Lynn Bayonas said: “Saddle Club - Series 3 is an exciting new series full of adventure. We have been blessed with a magical location and a charismatic cast who ride, sing and act. The talented and dedicated crew bring to life the wonderful mix of friendship, laughter, adventure and the love of beautiful horses. Plus, for this series we have also added great songs and an adorable donkey!”

The Crawford / Protocol Production series has previously aired in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Malta, Cyprus, UAE, Italy, Spain and Holland.

Dixon’s composer father had a major road accident during the shoot, while former cast member Jessica Jacobs died in a rail accident.

No doubt everyone on the show is looking to a bright future for the new series.

I remember seeing one of the original cast in a documentary about a science Olympiad held in China.

I think she did quite well.

……one of the original cast is dead. Read the article Leon. They couldn’t have brought them all back.

I remember reading the paper when she died. May she RIP :(

It’s nice to know it’s returning for kids, however i don’t approve of them changing the cast. The Original Cast gelled well together..

So its on Nine now, this must be a disappointment to the ABC considering its success there on ABC Kids. Though considering that Crawfords is owned by WIN its not too surprising.
