US producer Alex Coletti will produce the 2009 MTV Australia Awards.
Coletti joined MTV in 1989 and went on to develop and produce the iconic music series MTV Unplugged, as well five awards shows for the US TV channel, portions of Live Earth plus segments of Super Bowl‘s half time show. These shows included many iconic moments such as the Britney/Madonna kiss, 500 Eminems, and Britney carrying a yellow python.
“I love producing MTV awards shows, they have all the pop culture elements and access to talent that you need to really go nuts with … and to get to do it in Australia, well that’s a dream come true,” Coletti said.
“I look forward to creating something unique and hopefully unforgettable.”
The big night is planned for March 27 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour.

hopefully it will be better than last year’s – which I thought was awful, in every possible way.
