just heard about frank he was a great australian actor. “boys from the bush “episode and “mr reliable” were my favourites and he was great in the dreadful tv series “shannons mob”

Have just learned with great sadness of the death of Frank Gallacher. We were in the same school class at St Mirin’s Academy in Paisley Scotland and were big friends. RIP Frank God Bless

I knew Frank when I was six. I am now 46. He was a friend of my fathers Howie Cougan. I have loved Frank all my life. I was deeply saddened in hearing that he had died. I followed his career and had great pride in telling my friends that I knew him when. I will miss him but will always love and remember him. Love you Frank Pauline

So sad to hear of Frank’s passing. We were close friends at Queensland Theatre Company in the early 70′s and he came from the same town as my father in Scotland. My sympathies to his family.

We are so shocked to hear the news of his passing, we were only looking at his photo at the Plahouse on Wed night, He was very popular with the MTC patrons.

Frank was a friend and a golfing buddy.We were no means the best golfers . However each new game was approached as if he was the greatest.Frank was one of a kind and put his all into every character he played .He was after all ,a master of his craft. How he would have loved to have mastered golf. I will sadly miss him

I agree with Taz. He was brilliant in Against the Wind – probably when I first noticed him as an actor – and loved him ever since. Very sad news. R.I.P. Frank.

please pass on my sincere condolences to franks family at this sad time i remember frank from his country practice episodes as we never saw frank on uk tv much apart from acp im sure he will sorely missed by many australian viewers and actors alike .RIP Frank Gallacher.

So sorry to hear this news. I went to school with his son and met Frank many times. RIP Frank, my thoughts go out to Connor and his family.
