Cold Case frozen out for Mentalist

A few temporary changes to Nine's Wednesday which actually make sense.

mentalsbA change to programming for next Wednesday April 1st on Nine.

With the two hour finale of Farmer Wants a Wife at 7:30pm, Nine had planned to hold over The Mentalist.

Now it’s decided to hold over Cold Case instead, and move the Simon Baker series to 9:30pm with the episode “Bloodshot.” A better outcome really. Though it would have made sense to settle on that decision before some print guides locked off copy.

There’s still a repeat for fans at 10:30pm anyway.

A week later the Footy Show (AFL) will air at 8:30pm on Wednesday April 8 (Melb) during the Easter non-ratings break.

  1. dont nine release that changing lines up almost every week causes them to loose viewers, what possible reason could there to make a change that the could not have been before done guides went to print

  2. ITA TV Week has Cold Case so lost will tune in going by the guide and be disappointed, this with the later time slot will cut the ratings, IMO they would have been better to rest Mentalist for the week.

  3. Bummer,so that means no new Cold Case in Victoria for at least a month. We have the Footy Show crap this wednesday as well because there’s a thursday night game.

  4. “… it would have made sense to settle on that decision before some print guides locked off copy.” – When will 9 ever learn?

My prediction is Mentalist April 1 rates less than 1 mil as a result, and will end up in a different time slot after Easter. Make a decision and stick to it.
