Fall season sounds dull already
CBS reckons it only has room for 3 or 4 new shows next season.

Last year’s US Fall season really only produced one bonafide hit in the US: The Mentalist.
Oh how we long for the days that Desperate Housewives, Lost and Prison Break compelled us to the screens each week.
Now CBS says the next season looks tight.
Network CEO Les Moonves said, “The advertisers are nervous.
“They’re going to be locking their budgets in a lot later.”
And so, to cut costs, CBS is producing 6 fewer pilot this year compared with 2008. He says the network only has room for 3 or 4 new shows in its schedule next season.
Sigh. Maybe we should start 2009 all over again?

I think you’re being a bit harsh there David. 3-4 new shows isn’t really that low. It just means 3-4 fewer shows that they have to axe. NBC on the other hand…..
