  1. I know channel 10 has the rights to the Indian IPL starting on April 10 , some games start at 8.30pm and some at 1am, anyone know ONE HD’s intentions as to how much ‘Live’ IPL they will show? They completely butchered the coverage last year with some game running on a 15 minute delay (hopeless for betting on it)

  2. now onces ONE HD goes to air, how log will it take until ch7 & ch9 new channels will be up and running, 7 CEo said april, channel 9 no idea, no time soon and then what happens wow 3 more channels now what, No more new channels for the next 15 years or so

  3. There is a preview of the events and programs to be shown on OneHD airing Saturday night @10:20. I can’t wait for this channel to start. If only 7 and 9 would get there acts together.

  4. I know that this means 10 are abandoning showing their main channel in HD, but honestly the fact that they have come this far with their multi channel means they deserve an applause. Look at 7 and 9’s effort so far. Pretty pathetic.

I also wonder if in the future ten will air some of their higher rating shows on One HD during times where the sport on is too boring or there isn’t anything.

  5. And still no response from seven and nine on their plans for their HD chanels…
I thought they were going to anounce it when one started to air.

  6. Re: Poker, guess what I saw the Foxtel promo desk proudly displaying as part of it trying to sell me on Foxtel HD? Yep, HD Poker on Fox Sports HD.

I think even if it is borderline as a sport, it still makes for good viewing. Ten have shown some in the past, so I’d imagine they have some of the rights.

To the branding side to things, I hope that watermark is just for the next two weeks, because it is horrible, even ignoring the countdown text. What possible need is there for it to be that bright, and to have a black block behind it?

Also One SD is showing the same watermark, I hope they don’t plan to brand the SD channel as ‘One HD’ all the time.

  7. the sd version of one (channel 12) also has a tensd2 logo(which looks similar to the tenhd logo) in the top left with a onehd logo in the right, im assuming this is just to distinguish between the channels till one launches and that only the sd logo will appear during non sport programming till one launches.

  8. Excellent, can’t wait for this channel. Having looked at the tv guide for when it launches , it’s definetly going to be a great addition to the channels.

  9. its no competition between onehd and 7hd/9hd, while while onehd is showing 20 hours of hd sport today, 9hd is showing no alternative programming while 7hd are showing 2 black and white movies from 1938 and 1944 and a repeat of deal or no deal, great job ten you seem to be the only one who understand the idea of a hd multichannel.

  10. Poker. How would poker be classed as a sport. If One does show poker than they would scrapping the bottom of the barrel for programming. What next Darts, Scrabble and Spelling Bees.

  11. David, I saw an ad for this last night and one the celebrities which were featured was none other than the 2005 World of Series of Poker Main Event Champion, Australian Joe Hachem. So I ask the question, will poker be broadcast on ONE? Poker is not currently listed on their website as one of the sports they will showing. ESPN has the rights to the World Series of Poker, FOX8 broadcasts the World Poker Tour as well as well celebrity poker (which I hate). So I can’t see them showing that. But the Aussie Millions and Asian Pacific Poker Tour is, as far as I am aware, not broadcast at this time. So perhaps ONE were thinking showing highlights of these local tournaments which would be fantasic!
