Voice of Lucy facing new trial

She was always screaming for “resti-too-tion.”

These days Pamelyn Ferdin, better known as the voice of Peanuts ‘Lucy’  is an animal activist. Last year, Ferdin demonstrated outside the home of a university primate researcher in the US and handed out fliers with researchers’ personal information.

Ferdin was convicted of violating an injunction issued previously against other animal activists. She was facing up to five days in jail and a $US1,000 fine.

This week a Santa Monica Superior Court Judge reversed a 2008 conviction and set a new trial for April 28.
