High Court rules against Seven Network
The High Court has ruled Today Tonight in breach of trade practices laws by entering into a deal for exclusive get-rich-quick stories.
The ruling follows a long-running case over a story on an investment mentoring program called Wildly Wealthy Women (WWW).
TT ran two exclusives in October 2003 and January 2004 organised by a marketer who had made arrangements with WWW to receive a commission for every woman who signed up to the investment program.
The stories stated that participants in the WWW program would become millionaires through investing in property, even if they …

In Australia for a recent promotional tour he also snuck in live shows for the Sydney Comedy Festival.
“I landed at 6am, did not sleep, and got on stage …

Talkin’ ‘Bout TEN’s Generation
TEN programmer David Mott tells The Age today he jumped at Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation when Granada producer Leonie Lowe was on her way to a meeting with Channel Nine.
He had already had enough time to think about her format pitch.
“It felt perfect for us,” he says. “It was completely fresh, it hadn’t been done anywhere and it was an easy play-along at home. There’s something for the whole family. We look for shows that everyone can watch together.
“It’s what we try to achieve with our shiny-floor shows, So You Think …
