Cabaret animal Tim Minchin features in an ABC special later this month.
Filmed over three tumultuous years, Rock + Roll Nerd: The Tim Minchin Story, looks at Minchin’s rise as ‘the next big thing.’ Told by his friend Rhian Skirving (as producer, director, writer and cameraman) this doco promises backstage antics, home footage and candid interviews.
From the obscurity of playing “silly cabaret shows” in inner city Melbourne pubs to triumphs in Edinburgh and London’s West End.
It airs 8:30pm Thursday April 30 on ABC1.

Agree. He hasn’t been very funny in recent outings I’ve seen. Might make interesting viewing though…
