Andre, don’t give up your day job.

The Dutch maestro might be a wiz on the Stradivarius but he won't be up for any AFI's for guest actor or a Logie as Best New Talent.

andre-rieuAndre Rieu gets points for being a good sport, but that’s about as far as it goes in his Neighbours guest appearance tomorrow night.

He’s terrible!

The Dutch maestro might be a wiz on the Stradivarius but he won’t be up for any AFI‘s for guest actor or a Logie as Best New Talent.

He smiles through a clumsy delivery of dialogue, that isn’t helped by his Dutch accent 9well, we can forgive him that part).

But who cares? It’s all too hilarious having him in Ramsay Street in the first place. Nearly as fun as the Little Britain boys. In the end it really doesn’t matter because it’s such a trashy idea you can’t help but enjoy the moment anyway.

Catch it Tuesday night at 6:30pm.

  1. I saw Andre Rieu in concert in November last year and would have to say that he’s one of the most entertaining and versatile performers I’ve ever seen. His ensemble orchestra and performing artists were all outstanding and his english is perfectly fine. I think he was probably nervous when he appeared on Neighbours.
