McFadden kicks back with Football Superstar

Brian McFadden is returning to FOX8's reality series, but with a new sidekick, sports presenter Lee Furlong.

mcfadden21FOX8 has announced Brian McFadden is returning to Football Superstar, its reality search for a future A-League player.

But there is a bench change with his co-host as FOX Sports presenter, Lee Furlong joins, replacing Amy Taylor.

“I had an absolute blast filming the first series and am really excited to be back at the helm again”, said McFadden.

“We uncovered some serious talent in season one which is testament to the growing popularity of football in Australia. I can’t wait to see who we discover this year!”

Furlong added, “It’s a new and exciting opportunity for me and I love watching the A-League. Every year, support for the game gets stronger and stronger and it’s great to see there are so many fans out there.

Football Superstar is a dream opportunity for the chosen contestants and I’m delighted to be involved in such a unique concept.”

This year the Kelloggs-sponsored show will also move to Melbourne, with the winner taking home a season-long contract with Melbourne Victory, alongside a one-year scholarship with Monash University.

Playoffs for contestants continues in Brissy and Melbourne (just don’t wear any pink!).

  1. Shame Amy Taylor isn’t returning, she could have hosted this herself. Maybe she couldn’t hide her distaste for McFadden well enough. The guy’s a pillock.
