  1. OMG !!!! did any one at Foxtel test this before it went live.

It has taken me half an hour to Login, select a programme and then send it to IQ box for recording,

Why half and hour – well I was successfully logged in and greeted with a message ‘welcome Neil’ WTF who is ‘Neil’. I was booted out three times, the recording facility failed four times before it worked – just to name a couple of the issues.

The site is too busy… All that wasted space at the top and bottom of the page – why did they just not put the EPG on a separate tab without all the other nonsense – and as for slide bars – how many does it need for one page? You need to select one to scroll down the programme page, then another to scroll down to view what has been added to the Queue, oh and another to the right of that to scroll down the page….

If it does not get any better, I will not bother using what I previously thought was a fantastic tool for selecting my ‘next 2 weeks recordings’ in a matter of moments. What I had to go through to select one show, was enough for me.

Kathy (woops should that be Neil !!)

  2. over all good site, but like johnjet said the ads are just annoying, i’ve seen enough of the ridiculously long top model ad when im trying to watch a show i dont have to see it on to the foxtel web site as well.

  3. I’ve noticed a change on my IQ box. I’ve set mine to add 1 min to the start of recordings, but now it now plays recorded programmes right at the start of the programme instead of 1 min before. You now have to press play and then rewind if you want the 1 min before. Also they have fixed the swirling cirlce on the front of the box so if you choose “off” on the settings it now doesn’t swirl around.

  4. I would be happy if my Foxtel magazine arrives in the mail. I pay around $106 per month and have had this service since November. I reckon I have had three magazines arrive on time. Not good enough really. I should not have to chase up a magazine almost every month and even then not recieve it after that pathetic!

  5. the new foxtel tv guide has some new features on the remote record. Programme listings now show episode & series number, year and country of production and links to related websites for this programme.

  6. Looks like it’s already up and running. I just got bombarded with a full screen “get foxtel” promo, then another promo for ANTM. Not sure what I think of it yet. It looks like it caters more for potential customers more than existing ones.

  7. so much for the foxtel TV guide being able to remote record 2 weeks in advance. For the second month in a row i’ve noticed that if you try to log-in once it gets to 15 days before the end of month it won’t go any further than the last day of the month and won’t log you in at all. It only lets you view the tv guide f you don’t log-in.

  8. Yes, poor ol’ Kimmy Williams promised this “before Easter” then a few days later had to backtrack, saying his gurus “haven’t set a specific date”. 🙂
