There was a Rumour Awhile ago that TEN were planning a new program, to be hosted by Kathryn Robinson & Hugh Riminton.

Maybe this is going to eventuate!

I think Hugh is great but why would u jump onto a sinking boat!!
Where are they getting his wages from? Oh thats right they are canning the Simpsons repeat…. Now if they just Canned the wasted 24 hour sport channel and bring back TenHD we might be gettin somewhere.

Great to have Hugh back where he belongs. In Oz. As for “The 7 or so viewers comprising 10’s entire News audience…” – note that TEN News always beats Deal or No Deal, usually by about 150,000. TEN has the best foreign sources. Pity they are let down a bit in regional NSW with their affiliate not having any regional newsrooms anymore. Still, they have the most extensine news service, and the only Late News program. Great TEN. Oh, gotta go, time for TEN News. LOL.

Smart move by ten Hugh is great 9 should have got him to do Sydney news rather than peter it could have boosted the ratings lets face it it couldn’t have done any worse than peter

why dont they make it 2 hours then most of australia could avoid TT and ACA……

90 minute bulliten could actually result in a better program. What makes lateline (ABC1) the best news program on TV is the area it allows for free-flowing discussion on a subject with an interview. Now Ten could have a more serious interview(s) in the bulliten.

The 7 or so viewers comprising 10′s entire News audience will be rapt..

Sounds like TEN are taking this TV business seriously.. about time too. Good move for a longer news, it could be the right thing to get them going in the evenings and it shows that TEN is trying to shake up the TV norms… not cancelling shows (moving timeslots, but not cancelling), the launch of 24 Hour sport and a rejig to their news. I like their style

Wow, sounds like Ten are getting serious about news & current affairs (not that TT & ACA are serious alternatives). I’ve always admired Hugh, and what a memorable last name :-)

Ahh I’d forgotten about Hugh. I like his journalistic style, but c’mon, Paul Bongiorno should surely be Cheif Political editor…
