  2. Stevie April 12, 2009 at 10:55 pm -

You shake those ‘Ten’ pom poms ryan

  3. ryan April 12, 2009 at 7:58 pm -

wow!! go ten!! i have noticed when ten and seven play afl games, ten usually gets more viewers, must mean they like the better coverage which i rekon ten gives.

  4. Craig April 12, 2009 at 3:03 pm -

Wow ch10 won a 2nd night this week!

  5. David Knox April 12, 2009 at 12:40 pm -

As originally indicated, only in select cities (Melb / Per). King 381,000 / Til Death 319,000 total.

  6. Gerry April 12, 2009 at 12:12 pm -

Is it just me, or is the King Of Queens and Til Death not in the Friday’s ratings? They were on Nine at 7:30 and 8:00pm, yet none are on the board.

  7. ryan April 11, 2009 at 6:56 pm -

just goes to show the biggest loser fans are fed up with fridays!!! all we know is there will be a challange, but we never get to see the end of the challange until sunday!! so really people are realising there is no point in watching fridays ep

  8. Johnson April 11, 2009 at 5:57 pm -

Last night’s Good Friday appeal may have raised a record amount ($13.8 million) but it did not translate to good ratings for Seven. The appeal telecast averaged 200,000 from 7.30pm to midnight, which is a passable figure. I assumed Nine won the night in Melbourne.

  9. Harry April 11, 2009 at 5:00 pm -

Charlie and Lola were 30th? Good Lord!

  10. David Knox April 11, 2009 at 10:29 am -

    Rutzie, added.

  11. Andrew B April 11, 2009 at 7:47 am -

You can tell its a low TV viewing day and night when you have a morning show in the top 30.

  12. Rutzie April 10, 2009 at 9:53 pm -

David any chance of The NRL Footy Show ratings from thursday night please. Just wondering if Hugh Jackman gave it a ratings boost.

  13. harry April 10, 2009 at 7:48 pm -

Losers rating drop quite significantly last night!

  14. davo April 10, 2009 at 6:21 pm -

I’m surprised about the higher numbers of Brisbane Sunrise viewers, compared to Sydney Sunrise viewers. I would’ve thought that the numbers would be higher in Sydney seeing as it is produced there. I wonder what makes it more attractive in Brisbane?

  15. Craig April 10, 2009 at 5:25 pm -

I doubt ch10 will start with the NCIS pilot but I’m sure there will be re-runs until S7 starts in the US.

  16. nick April 10, 2009 at 1:42 pm -

so will ratings for this weekend be released Tuesday?

  17. seanie April 10, 2009 at 12:24 pm -

I’ll take it oztam aren’t reporting ratings on this holyday?

  18. R April 10, 2009 at 10:11 am -

Kenny, the 6pm simpsons did not beat Nine News. You are looking at the 7.30pm Simpsons figures.

  19. No Name April 10, 2009 at 7:43 am -

I am gald to see sunrise doing well better then the today show if the today show got new host the show would rate so much better

  20. Kenny April 9, 2009 at 5:50 pm -

Harry, like with “The Simpsons”, TEN will start with Ep.1 Season 1 of “NCIS” again, and again. As 7 does with “M*A*S*H”

  21. Harry April 9, 2009 at 2:21 pm -

Amazes me how a repeat of NCIS has scored its second highest number ever..

  22. Harry April 9, 2009 at 2:20 pm -

Can someone tell me what TEN will be playing when NCIS S6 comes to an end, I think there are only 6 eps left in the current season?

  23. Kenny April 9, 2009 at 2:03 pm -

The Simpsons beat Nine News in Sydney. “Doh”. A huge drop every night this week.

  24. Craig April 9, 2009 at 10:51 am -

So House didn’t do any better last night.

  25. David Knox April 9, 2009 at 10:30 am -

Seems it didn’t rock last night, or presumably many didn’t realise it was on a Wednesday this week. Note for Nine promo dept, perhaps. Asteriks indicate it didn’t air in those cities.

  26. gerry April 9, 2009 at 10:20 am -

Wow. What happened to the Footy Show last night? What do the asterics mean? That couldn’t be right as the Footy Show rocks.

  27. Andrew B April 9, 2009 at 10:13 am -

Yep, 2.5 Men 4th again. 7pm better time slot for Millionaire.

Non-ratings means excuse for networks to show sub standard programming even though as many, if not more, people watch TV during non ratings holidays. Lower figures only as a result of poor offerings.

Also means ratings results come out later in the morning!

  28. Benno April 9, 2009 at 10:10 am -

I didn’t realise What’s good for you was on last night.

  29. Doug82 April 9, 2009 at 9:37 am -

Hey, can someone explain what “non-ratings” is all about?

  30. Andrew B April 9, 2009 at 8:49 am -

10 is winning becuase they don’t drop everything for this non-ratings crap. And they know that NCIS is so popular that its repeats are watchable – unlike other shows. Last nights’ Mentalist was a repeat 3rd time round. I actually still had the same episode on my PVR from Jan. Crazy.

  31. R April 8, 2009 at 8:47 pm -

come to think of it, my last post can be read as saying the ten fanboy comments are intelligent. I’d like to clarify that they are anything but.

  32. R April 8, 2009 at 8:46 pm -

ryan, do you have nothing intelligent to add besides the ten fanboy comments? As for your point about it being “good” that Ten are saving new eps of NCIS, I’m sure the fans would prefer the new eps to be shown now rather than being saved.

  33. mr April 8, 2009 at 8:41 pm -

have always liked ten 4 sometime but they still have some terrible ideas on programing.i e the office needs prime time chance, endless movie re runs

  34. Brodie April 8, 2009 at 8:34 pm -

Well obviously not you Ryan *winks*

  35. ryan April 8, 2009 at 6:28 pm -

who here loves network ten over seven and 9???

  36. Jellyman April 8, 2009 at 5:20 pm -

With Seven in Repeats and Nine off the Planet, Ten Nailed Last Night.

  37. Brodie April 8, 2009 at 4:15 pm -

@ Peter there were split movies on 7 last night, depending on state.

  38. Peter April 8, 2009 at 3:54 pm -

kudos to ten. a deserving win.

i dont see the movie that was on 7 in the list? How come? Did it do that bad it didnt even make the top 20? i think it was called a lot like love?

  39. Harry April 8, 2009 at 2:49 pm -

    Go Channel 10 :)

 good going TEN and NCIS, Love that ch9 are third for the night!

  41. ryan April 8, 2009 at 11:14 am -

good to see ten saving its new eps of ncis to help it through the year. Ncis is unstoppable and just keep growing. biggest loser this week will do well cause they are in new zealand. bondi rescue was great last night with its new ep, 10 late news does so well at 10.30

  42. Billy April 8, 2009 at 10:06 am -

Im so glad “The Biggest Loser” is getting a decent ratins. I love that show. I also hope “Cold Case” never gets cancelled, it is my favourite show of all time. When is “Survivor” coming back??

  43. Amir April 8, 2009 at 9:58 am -

Poor Ten. They always seem to do well in non-ratings weeks.

  44. Andrew B April 8, 2009 at 9:30 am -

Worlds funniest videos and commercial break down would actually be OK to watch if it wasn’t for the stupid hosts they put on who are not even funny (do these shows need hosts?). Watch the ratings drop next week, and would be surprised if either show lasts into ratings period after Easter (were they meant to?).

Wow – NCIS is popular, putting 10 1st. Might have to try it out one day…!
I’m guessing Ramsey will be dumped again with that figure. What were 9 thinking?

  45. Benno April 7, 2009 at 6:58 pm -

I see 10 are doing what 7 did last year – showing the same procedural 3 times per week….Only this week, they’re all repeats.

  46. ryan April 7, 2009 at 3:42 pm -

dont forget tonight the biggest loser contestants face their fears in new zealand tonight and this week!!

  47. ryan April 7, 2009 at 3:37 pm -

notice the simpsons and neighbours doing pretty well last night!!

  48. ryan April 7, 2009 at 3:25 pm -

notice ten still refusing to advertise ncis on mondays!!!!! stupid stupid stupid! considering a repeat on tuesday gets around 1.3m u think they would advertise it and maybe their share on mondays would rise

  49. Jed April 7, 2009 at 2:05 pm -

Spooks was an awesoem episode last night. And i like the newbies.I’ve only seen up to season 3 so they’re new to me. But 9.30 Monday isn’t a good time slot for me. When Bothers & Sisters comes back i think i’ll be watching that which means 2 episodes of Spooks will have to do for me.

  50. David Knox April 7, 2009 at 12:16 pm -

Spooks 660,000 suggests ABC viewers are not yet flocking to its newer 9:30 drama slot. Denton used to get over a million there and the show averaged 885,000 last year on Fridays.

  51. Andrew B April 7, 2009 at 12:13 pm -

Some of these Underbelly episodes are on for the 3rd time – so its result is no surprise. I think if they showed the first series again it would have done better. It is more likely people would watch that again than series 2. Than again, it is non-ratings even though we have full detailed figures like usual. Not to mention the fact there were alot of people watching FTA TV last night until 8.30. Foxtel and DVD rentals benefit most from non-ratings.

  52. Brodie April 7, 2009 at 12:11 pm -

That 7 News figure is massive, you can tell DLS is over.

Customs clearly benefits from that all new Underbelly lead out, down some 300k on last week with a repeat as lead out.

Strange that HIMYM hits some of its highest numbers in that timeslot, despite being a repeat.

Good night for Ten, despite coming third.

  53. Craig April 7, 2009 at 11:37 am -

I’m surprised Underbelly didn’t rate better, guess that’s why we didn’t see the original after it ended last year.

Going on Mondays ratings I’m betting another win for ch7 this week!

  54. Jimbo April 7, 2009 at 10:28 am -

Underbelly repeats didn’t help Nine at all last night.

Ten’s News at Five did better than usual, and the Simpsons repeat beat Neighbours!

  55. Laurence April 6, 2009 at 10:35 pm -

good to see BL is doing well

  56. ryan April 6, 2009 at 10:25 pm -

dexter is doing nothing for ten! i rekon simpsons repeats after rove on sndays!! i would hell be in for more comedy after rove, esp the simpsons and they have a few adults only eps they could put on then aswell:)

  57. Craig April 6, 2009 at 8:24 pm -

Maybe ch10 should give Rove a 1 hour nightly talk show, but does we have enough talent to fill the time and I guess it would push Letterman back an hour, and we can’t have that!

  58. Susie April 6, 2009 at 6:32 pm -

    A good night for Nine.

  59. ryan April 6, 2009 at 5:25 pm -

you are totally rite! roves guests only get like 5-10 mins its pathetic!! you can tell they expect more time too. there are more ads on i have noticed like a whole nother commercial break during the show.

  60. Andrew B April 6, 2009 at 4:10 pm -

Problems with Rove include the fact it is on at a different time every week, the interviews with guests are too short, and there aren’t that many guests worth going out of your way to tune in for. Not to mention stupid segments like Hamish and Andy being pirates a few weeks ago.

  61. Dakota April 6, 2009 at 3:07 pm -

I think Rove is suffering because they aren’t Live anymore. The unpredictability isn’t as strong. I think most of the other improvements he’s made this year have been fantastic, but it doesn’t feel as unpredictable anymore, getting read of the famous final questions as well hasn’t helped. Just an opinion but ever since he made the changes, and they stopped being live once DWTS returned last year, its been quite static ever since.

  62. Jerome April 6, 2009 at 2:50 pm -

    @ryan

i think guerilla gardeners is moving to sundays after easter and new simpsons are going to wednesdays. they may as well knock of 2 more eps of OOTB during easter for the local drama points.

  63. ryan April 6, 2009 at 2:04 pm -

for f** sake!! why the hell is ten playing out of the blue on sundays!!!! could david mott be any more of a god dam idiot??? last week ten has sport as a lead in and what u know it boosted their share and this week back to bloody pathetic out of the blue and their share suffered!!! also rove should be doing better, loosing nearly 400,000 is bad! ten only advertises rove in the last 1 or 2 ad breaks of dance!!! we need more!

  64. sav0001 April 6, 2009 at 1:45 pm -

Even though nine won last night, it doesn’t matter as these two weeks don’t count towards who wins the year at the end.

  65. Harry April 6, 2009 at 1:07 pm -

Ten off to a bad one..

  66. JM April 6, 2009 at 12:59 pm -

Any idea how the F1 when last night?
Is OneHDs coverage affecting the Main Channels Ratings?

  67. Jerome April 6, 2009 at 12:19 pm -

@jules. i’m assuming it was because when they were relaunching it in primetime they wanted the strongest episode they could get to anchor viewers.

now that i’ts non-ratings they can air ep7 and 8 because they are weaker episodes and will not be seen by as many people. It’s a matter of getting people to watch the good episodes and miss the weak episodes (if they’re going to miss any)

  68. Jules April 6, 2009 at 11:57 am -

Does anyone know why 7 skipped eps 7 and 8 of the new season of Scrubs? Did they ‘forget’ or was there another reason? Looks like they’re backtracking to ep 7 tonight (they’ve already shown eps 9 and 10).

  69. vid April 6, 2009 at 11:41 am -

    @ andrew B… oh well!

  70. Craig April 6, 2009 at 10:47 am -

And ch9 takes the early lead, bet ch10 are wishing they have the F1 on the main channel in prime time!

  71. Lex April 6, 2009 at 10:31 am -

Andrew – Shawshank Redemption would have gotten Nine a high late night share – it would have peaked much higher in the 8.30 hour probably.

  72. Brodie April 6, 2009 at 10:30 am -

9 won by so much because The Shawshank Redemption run till very late at night, giving them big shares post 10.30.

  73. Andrew B April 6, 2009 at 10:03 am -

I can’t actually see how 9 won by so much last night with only the news and 60 minutes standing out.
