Returning: Law & Order: SVU

TEN brings back SVU to replace House soon.

olivia-bensonNo surprises here.

When House finishes its run shortly, TEN will replace it with Law & Order: SVU.

The series returns at 8:30pm on Wednesday May 27 with “Snatched.”

It’s one of ten episodes still in the current series.

I dunno about that, all three programs seem pretty distinct to me (other than the fact that they are crime/legal dramas). If you ignore the “chung chung” intertitles and the theme music, each show can pretty much stand on it’s own.

As Dick Wolf once said, whilst CSI is a franchise, Law & Order is a brand.

  2. Probably a good move, although people may get sick of having Law and Order on 3 days in a row in the same timeslot…Wed 8.30 SVU, Thur 8.30 CI, Fri 8.30 L&O…not much variety there. Its about time Ten gave a break to House, that show has been rating horribly for years now. People just got sick of its tired premise of a grumpy doctor treating patients like crap and taking vicodin. They tried to revive interest with shock storylines like Amber and Kutner’s deaths, but it didn’t last

  3. @ Bruce 10 only skipped Babes here in Sydney they did air PTSD.

I still don’t know why 10 skipped it anyway :S

I’m guessing their going to do what they did when they skipped the 2 eps in season 9 show it after the season has ended and at 9:30PM

  4. Wow wow wow.
    Excellent choice Ten “seriously”
I still can’t believe Ten still kept House in that “Wednesday 8:30” timeslot, ratings are crap.

  5. Hmm, so the much-expected 8.30 Wed slot for Rush looks like a no-go…should we be expecting it to take over from NCIS on Tuesdays instead?

  6. I’m kinda surprised they just don’t go into House re-runs, but given the less than spectacular ratings this season it might be time to rest House for a few months.
