Airdate: Michael Jackson: What Really Happened?

Uh oh. Nine is venturing down the road of a last minute Jacko special hosted by Richard Wilkins again…

This one simply promises: “With the world still in disbelief at the death of Michael Jackson, tonight Richard Wilkins hosts a special presentation that focuses on the controversy that plagued his life.”

As to which controversy that is, who knows (plastic surgery, child molestation case, marriages, parenting skills, unusual habits etc.)?

The title of the one hour special hints it might focus on the final days, but the synopsis suggests otherwise.

On Saturday Wilkins co-hosted a …

‘Apprentice’ boss facing apprehended violence order

The man plucked by Nine for its local adaptation of The Apprentice, Sydney businessman Mark Bouris, is today reported to be the subject of an AVO following an alleged disagreement over a barking dog, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Peter Anthony McGrath, 58, has applied for an apprehended violence order against Bouris, former Wizard Finance boss, following an early morning scuffle in their Watsons Bay street.

McGrath claims a labrador belonging to Bouris’s girlfriend has been “barking incessantly” for the past six months, disrupting his sleep and leaving him unable to watch TV …

Hargitay and Meloni sign with SVU

Finally an outcome…. actors Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have finalised negotiations with to return to Law & Order: SVU for its 11th season.

Thank goodness for that. It just wouldn’t have been the same without Olivia and Elliot.

The two actors had been with a mexican standoff with producers for a pay hike, and it had been dragging on for weeks. NBC even called their bluff by renewing the procedural, with or without the two on board.

The Hollywood Reporter indicates both have inked one-year deals with an option for a second …

First The Mighty Boosh, now Little Britain?

UK comics David Walliams and Matt Lucas have ruled out filming more episodes of their hit series, in order to work on two new projects instead.

“They are now keen to concentrate on solo projects and then work on different TV ideas together.

“They’re not sure if, or when, they will bring back Little Britain. And no new series has been …

The Tudors

He’s the rock and roll king, the velvet goldmine ruler, the sex god monarch.

Showtime’s Henry VIII, as gloriously personified by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, is back for his third lascivious season in The Tudors.

Once again all the hallmarks of this franchise are lavishly evident on the screen: stunning costumes, elaborate settings, sumptuous locations, passionate performances and sexed-up storytelling. If medieval England was to have its very own  Days of Our Lives, this would be it (one character even sports an eyepatch). Power, greed, lust, envy, romance -it’s all here in spades.

Having eliminating his …
