‘Apprentice’ boss facing apprehended violence order

The man plucked by Nine for its local adaptation of The Apprentice, Mark Bouris, is today reportedly the subject of an AVO.

mbThe man plucked by Nine for its local adaptation of The Apprentice, Sydney businessman Mark Bouris, is today reported to be the subject of an AVO following an alleged disagreement over a barking dog, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Peter Anthony McGrath, 58, has applied for an apprehended violence order against Bouris, former Wizard Finance boss, following an early morning scuffle in their Watsons Bay street.

McGrath claims a labrador belonging to Bouris’s girlfriend has been “barking incessantly” for the past six months, disrupting his sleep and leaving him unable to watch TV without headphones.

Court documents state at about 2am on Sunday, McGrath went outside to shush the barking dog after an earlier attempt hadn’t worked.

An argument and altercation allegedly followed.

A lawyer for Bouris said the dog had been temporarily placed in a kennel and Bouris’s girlfriend had her own complaint to file against McGrath.

Earlier this month Channel Nine announced it had secured Bouris to front its local adaptation of The Apprentice modelled on the role made famous by Donald Trump.

The matter has been set down for hearing in October, the month after Nine’s local series is due to wrap.
