Justine eliminated from MasterChef

23yo Justine went head to head with her friend Julie in a Sweet & Sour Duck cookoff -but was unable to keep her place in the contest.

justine23yo Justine Schofield was eliminated from MasterChef Australia after the pressure test cook-off tonight.

Julie beat her in a cooking test of Sweet & Sour Duck with Noodles.

Justine was frequently considered the front-runner in the TEN reality series, but after losing a super challenge on Wednesday night, was forced to go head to head with her friend Julie.

Remaining in the contest with Julie are Sam, Andre and Chris while previous contestants Julia and Lucas are already guaranteed a place in the final week.

Sales Executive Justine was a bright and talented participant in the TEN series, and undoubtedly has quite a career ahead of her.

Matt Preston said, “You have an amazing future whether you decide to cook, write about food, do styling, do recipes. You’re a fantastic talent. It’s been a pleasure.”

George Calombaris said: “You have the package and you show so much maturity for your age. You can cook, you’re a beautiful person and you’re going to be a superstar.”

“I have no regrets. I’ve loved every moment of it,” said Justine, who plans to travel to France to broaden her knowledge of French cuisine.

“I’ve had the best experience of my life. I will never forget this. It’s just opened my eyes for the future and what I want to do with my career.”

  1. I agree that Justine was exceptionally good, but if you look at her performance from the past week she just didn’t cut it – her nerves kept getting the better of her, and like others have said you may be the best all year but if you lose the grand final you lose everything!

Also to all those people claiming that it is rigged or the judges are sexist – is this what you do in your own lives when something doesn’t go your way? Sometimes we don’t get what we want in our lives and we just have to lump it.

  2. Sam needed to be gone before Justine. Her skills are far superior – and I must say in comparison to the others Sam is like an apprentice! I’m wondering if there will be a biggest loser like twist in the final weeks – everyone comes back for an opportunity to get back into the competition????

  3. Can’t believe that they didn’t send Chris packing when he served up food in leaves he didn’t even wash, or know of they were edible!

Justine should be there instead of him, he could’ve poisoned everyone!

  4. I’m disappointed to see Justine go. However, she has made it far enough to show herself to be very talented and make her face known. I actually wonder if winning Masterchef will be a similar kiss of death to winning Idol: a flash in the pan as opposed to now having the time to go and learn more, develop her skills and passion and work out what part of the hospitality/food industry she really wants to focus on.

To me, the pressure tests are a bit like a footy grand final. You can be the very best team all season, but if you perform poorly on the day, sadly you miss out.

  5. I wouldn’t be so upset with this result if the very untalented Sam (especially compared to Justine, who’s around the same age as him) wasn’t still inexplicably on the show, dragging the quality of it down, highlighting what an absolute farce the judging process, and this elimination, actually is… Anyway, I really hope Chris wins! …

  6. Well done Julie! To that person who said they aren’t watching anymore, grow up. It’s a TV show! Lord! Justine will be successful. I was told Julie loses the Hong Kong Pressure Test so I was shocked that Julie survived! Will be interesting to see what happens in the remainder of the series, I don’t know wether or not to believe what Ive been told. TEN did really well choosing Masterchef!

  7. Kinda random how the 2 most popular contestants, Poh and Justine are eliminated within two weeks of one another. Justine also won that ‘who do you want to win MasterChef’ poll on this site a few days ago. I reckon the current elimination challenges are a bit weak, literally anyone could get the chop and its not really a fair way of getting rid of contestants. It still beats the BB/Idol “call to save your contestant” though.

  8. What a joke! Justine is brilliant! What a disapointment when she is such a class above those boys and has been all the way through. I wish Julie all the best. I can’t believe it! Guess it’s political, like everything! I’m not watching anymore. Lost my faith in the process.

  9. Regardless of people’s opinions of Chris, he has proved he can do it by repeatedly succeeding in challenges.

The real imposter is Andre. I can’t believe he’s still there when someone like Justine who has shone in challenge after challenge has gone. What has he ever done? Sure he’s OK – it’s not about OK, is it?

Very disappointing indeed, she was interesting to watch and did great work. Also very disappointed to see the judges not offer her any opportunities, considering Aaron the ambitious nincompoop was given a red carpet straight into Hellenic Republic.

  10. You got to be kidding ???? julie been to 3 elim challenges justine been to one how can the judges get it wrong julie just cries all the time not a master chef cant handle the pressure boo boo boo

  11. Sam is awful…i watch him everyweek and god knows how he has survived this long…i love this show but totally disagree with justine being eliminated

  12. They need to and should of this week sent Chris on his way! I can not stand him! It was sad to see Justine go but I am glad Julie is still in the running to become Australia’s 1st Master Chef and I hope she wins it! I would much rather Julie, Justine, Sam and Andrea to be the ‘final four’.
