Well here’s an unusual piece of casting. Next week Mary Lynn Rajskub, better known as 24‘s Chloe, makes a guest appearance on Flight of the Conchords
Brett and Jemaine meet the Prime Minister of New Zealand; and a tribute gig ends with Jemaine getting mixed up with an Art Garfunkel fanatic.
Despite the Art Gunfunkel reference, Raskjub appears in the song Demon Woman, a video parody of Cliff Richard’s Devil Woman.
It airs at 9pm next Monday night on SBS ONE.

She’s much better suited for this, than 24 … I used to read a fansite where they had different names for all the characters, and hers was ‘Potato Face’. Not a great bit of casting. I only liked the actor, not the character.
Dan is on it… such a strange thing to see Mary Lynn on 24… everyone go youtube Mr Show and be very very amused.
She also had a small part in the end of “Little Miss Sunshine”.
um yeah doesn’t she do stand up?
I don’t quite understand why this is unusual casting? Mary Lynn Rajskub has a very long professional history of being involved with comedy that has a slight edge like Flight of The Conchords.
Most of her dedicated fans know her from her work on The Larry Sanders Show and Mr Show with Bob & David.
The only real unusual casting in her career has been her role on 24.
She was in “Dude, Where’s My Car” and “The Anniversary Party” (the latter’s excellent, and well worth finding on DVD) among many other TV shows and movies. Versatile actor, this one.
