US drama Brotherhood, featuring Australian actor Jason Clarke, has been officially cancelled by cable network Showtime.
It follows speculation as to whether or not it would be renewed for a fourth season, but this week came the announcement of the title of the season three DVD : Brotherhood – The Final Season, due for a September release.
The show followed a family caught in between politics and the mob in Providence.
Most of the cast had moved on to other things. Jason Clarke is involved with another series, U.S. Attorney. Jason Isaacs has gone back to other film including Harry Potter. He popped up in Entourage last year as well. Fionnula Flanagan has gone to a more prominent TV role as the elder Eloise Hawking in Lost.

Showcase will show all the 3rd season, they are not ch9. As to whether it will have a good ending, I have no idea as I’m also watching locally and not spoilt on this one.
hangon, please tell me they finished the last season and didn’t do a ‘channel 9’ on us and just stop it in the middle of the season. also if they did show the last season and decided not to pick it up due to the next season being the last then thats good enough for me
Damn!
I’m currently in the middle of the 3rd season on Foxtel and hoped that we’d be seeing a 4th season later this year.
