Nine’s Drop Dead Diva will now air a week later in ‘AFL markets’ on August 10th but it remains in place in Sydney and Brisbane at 9:30pm Monday August 3rd.
A new Missing Persons Unit will air in its place.
The delay in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth is due to the finales of Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters also ending a week later in those cities.
The US dramedy features Brooke Elliot as a vapid, aspiring model, Deb Dobson, who is killed in a car crash but is brought back to life in the body of a recently deceased, intelligent, overweight lawyer.
It also stars Margaret Cho.

Ahh Nine, your only girly, quirky, dramedy in ages and you go and stuff it up from the word go! maybe that’s where we’ll see it eventually…
9 should do well that night (Aug 3) in Syd and Bris as 7 just has a movie on. I’m guessing the week after will be City Homicide at 8.30, wonder what will be at 9.30?
This is yet another reason FTA is in such a mess, people in different cities watching shows a week later. This is on top of the fact shows like Desperate ended their seasons in the US over 2 months ago.
quite smart. just wonder how they will catch up.
