Gone: CSI: Miami. Returning: Cold Case

By David Knox on July 13, 2009 / Filed Under Programming 24

cold-caseNine has changed its mind on removing Cold Case in favour of CSI: Miami next week, and instead done a U Turn.

Now, Cold Case will stay put after all.

“Libertyville” S6E19 will air at 9:30pm Wednesday July 22nd then S6E20 on July 29th.

Do not adjust your set. Or your print guides.

You’ve just gotta laugh at this – what a debacle

Cold Case has become such a lifeless, dull and predictable show it’s almost comical. The lead actress looks half-dead anyway with her pale complexion and blank stares.

At least CSI:Miami had a bit of style and intrigue to it despite its weak screenplay and overexposure of Mr shades Caruso.

    Nine are idiots.

    *scratches head*

I’m happy about it, but they really have no bloody idea what they’re doing.

    Excellent! :)

No wonder people do not get into flow watching shows on Nine.
I just gave up at start of year – I might have watched Cold Case or CSI if I knew they would be played in order and for weeks at a time.

Don’t count on it Travis. They still have five to go including the finale. At this rate they will air two, replace it with CSI Miami for two months, air two more, shelve it for a year and then when they air the finale they will call it a season return.

Cold Case? I thought thats how they described the acting in it… The scripts are lousy especially when compared to New Tricks and the UCOS team. There stroy lines are just so predictable.

Nine’s schedule room is full of chimpanzees pulling TV show names and times out of a hat in the center of the room.

David, can you write an article on what this kind of madness might do to Nine’s future? As far as I can see, it’s well on its way to circling the drain – but could Nine really viably crash and burn?

Great work Channel 9 bringing cold case back, finally it seems like someone knowns what their doing. Cold case is the best on the on the network, nine may lose all important ratings without it.

I can’t believe it!!!! Channel nine just started getting their act together, bringing back everyone’s most requested Sunday Night Movie… then they change it all again. Is the network run by kids or something? Maybe Channel nine should just go away……they just don’t seem to know what they’re doing!! – idiots!

I assume they have a Gambling Roulette in their office, they out a Tv Show in as a number and see where it lands, then they decide to progamme a Tv Show that way.
A lesson to Channel 9, I watch 2,7 and 10, and if 9 has soemthing worth watching that doesn’t clash with anything else I watch, then I will watch it. Having said that i watch Ch9 and wonder if the show will still be in that timeslot in a week, or a month from the date of starting……

CSI: Miami will be around a lot longer than Cold Case, its dodgy that the only crime procedural Nine is showing at the moment is this one, when its one of the worst ones on TV. Bad writing and bad acting do not lead to good stories.

I would be privileged to sit in on a board meeting with nine programmers, just to see how they make their hyper-reactive decisions.

Wonder if it is to keep CSI in reserve for Sundays when they change their mind about movies?

  20. Andrew B July 13, 2009 at 11:49 am -

Only out of principle I’ll leave a comment here as I am sick of seeing 9 scheduling change all the time!

At least Wed 22 is far enough in the future for printed guides to be correct.

chop change, chop change – no wonder Nine is falling apart, viewers don’t know what the f**k is going on! Pathetic scheduling.
