Is this best week of Pay TV ever?

Tahnee_CassiIs this just about the best week of subscription television ever? Maybe not, but probaby for the year.

There are several major shows and events this week, tempting us away from free to air television.

On Tuesday there’s the live 90 minute finale of Australia’s Next Top Model on FOX8 at 7:30pm.

Sarah Murdoch proudly hosts this one (will Jodhi Meares be watching?) from Luna Park, Sydney. This year the show chooses between Tahnee and Cassi.

Also on Tuesday night is the first episode of the Torchwood miniseries event, fastracked from the UK on both UK TV and BBC HD at 8:30pm. It continues in new instalments each night through to Saturday.

Wednesday night Project Runway Australia launches with its new batch of 12 fashionistas. Kristy Hinze hosts this one, 8:30pm on Arena.

Hot new series already screening on Pay TV include Holly Hunter in Saving Grace, season two of Breaking Bad, the third series of The Tudors and then next week series two of Damages begins.

Have the former winners of Australia’s Next Top Model become Top Models – here or anywhere in the world?

Don’t you love how on the Fox8 ad Sarah Murdoch says “I’ll be there”… referring to the live finale.
