On the Hot Seat show dated Tuesday July 14, the question was: What is the correct English contraction for “It is”. I would have thought the answer was “it’s”.The contestant locked in ” ’tis “.??

I’ve noticed Eddie says “are you sure” “is that your final answer” a lot when the contestant has chosen the wrong answer…he’s handing them a lifeline…if only I’d understood that when I was a contestant in the first week! In all fairness to the woman, he can be very distracting and will ask for a final answer even when you have earlier said what you have chosen!

A button would solve everything yes, except the interaction and verbalising with the host. It’s better TV execution. Pretty sure 1 v 100 had a button tho.

I watch this show and the thing that annoys me is the contestant says I’ll lock in c or whatever there answer is and then just before time is about to run out Eddie says quick I need an answer. Then the person has to rush and repeat what they will lock in with like 2 seconds left. I have noticed it a few times.

In regards to this the woman had the wrong answer anyway

@newtaste it would make more sense if the contestant manually locked in the answer them selves, what would happen if eddie got confused and he locked in the wrong answer or if he didnt lock it in in time? also this would avoid contestants changing there answer at the last minute cause eddie keeps asking are they sure.

I only saw the end of the show & as she asnwered incorrectly what does it matter & she was the last contestant for the night so it didn’t effect the ‘next’ person……………….the night or 2 prior to this show there was a guy who’d had several heart attacks answering questions & I am sure he said ‘lock it in’ after his choice of answer then Eddie kept at him about his answer so he said something different & ‘lock it it’ again, how can you do that,
