Janet Andrewartha has extended her return to Neighbours as Lyn Scully to six months.

JanetAndrewarthaJanet Andrewartha has extended her contract with Neighbours for a further three months, reports fan site The Perfect Blend.

Andrewartha, who plays Lyn Scully, initially agreed to return for a three-month guest spot, but will now remain on screen for a full six months before finishing filming with the series in November.

Thereafter she heads to the UK for a series of fan events for both Neighbours and Prisoner.

On Neighbours, the only family link to her still on screen is Steph (Carla Bonner), with all her other family members having exited the show (including hubby Joe who made a hasty exit to Bendigo). Lyn Scully, affectionately referred to as a ‘fishwife’, is of course still great mates with Susan (Jackie Woodburne).

  1. old characters coming back is always good, however I hope Lyn does more than just hang around and annoy Paul, he should be happy with Rebecca and his new family.

  5. Forgot about the little pumpkin head Oscar. You’d think he’d come back as well but they could make an easy excuse if he doesn’t.

    RE Sunny i found her excruciating at first but have come to like her now that her character has settled down.

  6. Koverstreet, I meant the younger son Oscar, as i thought it would more belivable that he would still be with his mum. Then again, he could be with his Dad, Joe.

  8. The actor who played jack is now doing Sea Patrol but i suppose he would have time to do Neighbours if he wanted. Would be good but can’t see it happening.

  9. I wish the producers would lessen the time between filming the show and airdates. Here we read that Lyn will be leaving in six monthes and we havn’t even seen her reappearance yet. Its soo long to wait when it’s leaked in the press that a character is leaving or returning. C’mon give the cast a holiday, so we can catch up.

  10. i agree with alfagirl. Sunny has to be the most annoying character to ever appear in the show. Glad Lyn is returning though, hope they bring back her son too.

  12. urgh. I don’t like Lyn much either. There are plenty of other people they could have brought back. Or gosh forbid, they could have created a new character! Maybe that is too refreshing though, in this age of bringing everyone under the sun back.

  13. god lyn is sooo annoying!! she is going to come bac and cause trouble for paul!!! this has already happened, she cant possibly bring anything to the show

  14. I’m glad Lyn’s coming back – shows that they haven’t forgot about old characters. Plus now Susan won’t be as lonely with Miranda gone!
