Bad for Nine’s This Afternoon in the short term…

Nine should be using Daddo carefully – meaning, people are so accustomed to seeing him relaxed but at the same time opinionated and definitely not someone who (majority of the time) reads and reports the news. Nine should bring back the old Daddo – clean, crisp and savvy. Make him talk more, let him discuss a topical issue comfortably and not allow him to become just a newsreader!

This Afternoon should be more relaxed and opinionated not factual – why would the audience watch this show whilst they could just wait for more factual type of shows like Ten (5pm) and the main news assets at 6pm??

The news doesn’t suprise me one bit. THIS afternoon just feels cheap and crappy. A true Nine creation.
I generally watch TEN News at Five, or if I miss it I’ll watch Seven News and some of World News Australia. A lot of THIS afternoon’s audience are obviously being drawn away by TEN (and to an extent, Seven).

I normally don’t watch the news (apart from SkyNews) until TEN at 5pm, so still not seen this one. Better watch it soon before it’s replaced/conceled/put-down

I actually watched the show for the first time today, it was alright. It was truly sunrise at sunset. I don’t know that I like the two leads. It’s a bit like Mel and Kochie wannabe hour.

After watching bits from 2 shows, i guess its not that bad but its not really my type of show anyway, so i hope it keeps going.
If it goes well in the long run channel 7 might start up a 1hr of news starting at 4:30 till 5:30pm with more sport from 5:10-5:25pm to try to keep viewers away from TENs 5pm news but then again they will most likely do what 9 is doing now and try and do a sunrise which isnt that bad of an idea, its not 6:30pm or 7:30pm for example
