Smit-McPhee, who played ‘Bree Timmins’ now has a role as a twin sister in the HBO series, Hung. She plays the daughter of the lead character, the well-endowed Ray (Thomas Jane). The cast includes Anne Heche and Jane Adams.

Her character ‘Darby’ is in the throes of young love and experiencing heartbreak with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Hammer.

Darby’ and twin brother ‘Damon’ would ideally rather live with their father than their mother and her new husband. But the series is principally about Ray, a struggling suburban Detroit high school basketball coach who resorts to prostitution.

Smit-McPhee has also appeared in As the Bell Rings and Blue Heelers.

Last week the cast stepped out for the premiere of their cable drama.

  1. ‘Sianoa’ is a combination of Sian and Noah,
‘Noa’s mum had a freind in skool called Sian and if ‘Noa had been born a boy she wud’ve been named Noah,

    simple really

  2. Must be desperate for actors if she can get a job in the US!

She played a silly emo goth with an annoying accent in Neighbours. Don’t know how she got a break over there!?

  3. She’s on Youtube (for like a second) was so hard to track down!

Fast forward to 0:45. She doesn’t look that bad actually I think she’s just got too much make up on in that photo.

HAHA I can so tell she’s an Aussie putting on an American accent when she says ‘you want all of us to sleep in the tent’

  4. Thanks for the story. Good to hear more Aussies doing well.
mikeys, I remember reading a story about Sianoa back when she was on Neighbours. Her mum couldn’t decide on aname and she made it up. Apparently she combined two names of two her very good friends and came up with a new one.
