7PM Project wasn’t that bad tonight compared to the past couple of nights! They’re more relaxed and the show’s flowing a lot better now. The metro whip around is hilarious! The interview about Balibo was way too short, but they’re heading in the right direction to getting the show working. Good to see TEN are sticking with it for a while to let it grow. Because I reckon this could be a 1.2-1.3m show, it just needs time to find its feet.

Neighbours dropped dramatically last night, tonight’s episode should probably get around 850k I reckon.

Good to see Rush win its timeslot! Of course it’s not getting crazy high ratings but it’s grown since last week and last season which is good, and Thursdays are generally low-rating days anyway. And also it’s good considering the pretty crappy leadin from Rules of Engagement.

Seven also went well with Double Take and TV Burp. Personally I did not like either show at all (I was switching to Seven in the commercial breaks on TEN) and what I saw was just cheap and crap. TV Burp I think has potential, but Double Take definitely does not.

    Last week: 5 Rush Ten 1,167,000 312,000 403,000 175,000 130,000 147,000
    This week: 8 Rush Ten 1,145,000 302,000 386,000 196,000 124,000 138,000

Doesn’t matter if it has a 2.3 mill lead-in or a 900k lead-in – Rush’s fan base looks pretty steadfast, which is a marked improvement on last year’s numbers and well-deserved. To think it actually increased on Brissy numbers over last week.

Double Take and TV Burp debuted well. Can’t comment on the quality as I haven’t seen them, but I reckon they’ll maintain those numbers. The Amazing Race did quite strongly too and it was a good ep. That cheese-carrying challenge was hilarious!

The 7PM is obviously not rating like TEN want but give it its time. It will work once that get the kinks out. It has some real funny moments and some pretty awful moments. Tonight’s was great!! It just seems to be rushed through too quickly slow it down and give the people being interviewed more time and it would work so much better!!

  4. MR July 24, 2009 at 9:31 pm -

What the? with the 7PM report
It has been getting worse each night and could not bare to watch it anymore
way to rushed and the team is very plain ,just stick to serious news or just stick to lively debate on the funny issuies of the day
not both for full 1/2 hour
Bring back fitzy from Adelaide,he was it least funny on wednesday
TEN bring back Masterchef Master class on Fridays or all week
    Better then this crap
No wonder Rove off for a month
That way his team can all be back when it starts again when TEN gives this the boot

What is wrong with Ten and their Wednesday line up, if they keep this up they could fall behind to fourth in the night permanently. House shouldn’t even be on there, I can’t believe they would keep House at 500K and axe other show that actually do well and get around 750-850K!!!! They should put SVU at 9 30 Thurs and double CI at 8 30 wednesday.

  6. Jed July 24, 2009 at 8:13 pm -

Watched 7pm project again tonight. It’s getting better and really is not that bad. If Ten keep with it for a while it could maintain a solid audience. It’s worth watching. The awkwardness and silent pauses have stopped and they’re actually quite funny. And who is that Hans guy from Perth they had on tonight???? He is niiiice…

  7. Rutzie July 24, 2009 at 7:09 pm -

Q & A was great last night. Seven should definitely move TV Burp to 8.30 next week. I’d expect Double Take to drop to about 800k next week. I wonder if Nine are worried about Rush’s numbers considering they have pretty much the exact same show coming in a couple of weeks. What did the 200 thousand people who watched Neighbours on Mon-Wed watch at 6.30pm last night.

  8. Peter July 24, 2009 at 6:20 pm -

    @ Studley Dudley

I agree about the boxing. It look great in HD on One. Slowly ONE HD is adding great show’s. The swimming on this week, Boxing on Thursday nights, Moto GP and F1 I am really getting into One.

  9. koverstreet July 24, 2009 at 5:15 pm -

806k is not great for T7PMP but if it continues to win the 16-39 and doesn’t drop off drastically it’ll remain.

I applaud TEN for taking risks as Nine does it’s better then the safe programming preferred by Seven who are desperate to hang onto top spot at the cost of interesting(TV Burp aside) shows. Well interesting to those under 55 anyway.

And yes I agree GO! looks fantastic with lots of old gems plus new stuff that doesn’t rate on Nine such as Fringe. Nine’s digital ch seems much more interesting then the staid stuff offered by Seven. TENs could be ok if the likes of Monk get a run.

  10. damo July 24, 2009 at 5:05 pm -

i see why dance your arse off got the chop. did anyone actually watch it

  11. redbullboy July 24, 2009 at 5:02 pm -

Good figures for Rush – coming first in its time-slot.

  12. ryan July 24, 2009 at 4:57 pm -

repeats of everybody loves raymond and friends at 7!! or even try ready steady cook new eps at 7pm?

  13. Dino July 24, 2009 at 4:19 pm -

If Ten are happy with those 7pm Project figures, then thier rivals Seven and Nine will have to be ecstatic. Now that Ten’s new offering is bombing in the 7pm timeslot, Nine’s only saving grace 2.5 Men has risen back to solid figures. Home & Away has seen a huge rise, both in total people and demographics (winning 18-49 last night).

The 7pm Project only looks like falling further from here. The hosts are irritating and the format is weak.

  14. Ducko July 24, 2009 at 3:43 pm -

The 7PM Project is dead. Ten will attempt to resuscitate it, but will fail. Expect a burial in August.

  15. Jed July 24, 2009 at 3:35 pm -

Geez we really love Home & Away in Adelaide. #1 show for the night and smashed its competition. And 65,000 for 7pm project is woeful for show at that time. Good to see Amazing Race and Rush get good figures. And good to see True Beauty’s numbers drop dramatically. Seven you don’t need to turn into Channel Nine. You’re winning, stick to what you have and don’t lower your programming to their level.

From 6.30 to 7.30 i watched Scrubs dvd, then at 9.30 put a movie on. Hurry up new channels so we get some variety and decent shows to watch.

  16. Studley Dudley July 24, 2009 at 3:22 pm -

The 7PM Project will soon become the 6PM Project and then the 1130PM Project … following the path created by Taken Out

Ultimate Fighting Championship on ONE HD = Wow wow wow !!!

  17. Mitch July 24, 2009 at 3:13 pm -

darryn, you can complain all you want about ‘channel ten 10 fanboys’, but please, look in the mirror dude.

“So it will take viewers from that channel as it has nothing on for the next 6 months”

Well if we’re going with that logic, Nine have nothing as well – nothing new. See what I did there?

  18. CrAig July 24, 2009 at 3:03 pm -

Darryn, you always seem to be on about how much you dislike 10. I prefer to take each station on a case by case basis myself.

Regrading Go! (the topic we were discussing), I guess we’ll agree to disagree on this one and see how the Seinfeld marathons and Sci-Fi Thursday’s pan out.

  19. Goonies July 24, 2009 at 3:01 pm -

What is the point of sticking with the 7pm Project if they are not going to implement any changes?

You can’t stubbornly hold onto your format waiting for it to pick up an audience if you have already demonstrated that format to be useless!!

  20. darryn July 24, 2009 at 2:34 pm -

    @craig…

Yes I know, channel 10 are the masters at that.

  21. CrAig July 24, 2009 at 2:22 pm -

@ Darryn… “full of little gems”

You can polish a turd but at the end end of the day, all you end up with is a shiny turd…

  22. Ari July 24, 2009 at 2:16 pm -

What a well written funny episode of Rush last night.

  23. Mitchell July 24, 2009 at 2:13 pm -

The 7pm Project is very green. It feels very awkward to watch, hopefully the whole thing gels a bit more. They should start by ditching their US correspondent woeful – and wasn’t Ruby Rose supposed to be the entertainment guru?

There is potential for a light-hearted, nightly news show. See a couple of the American products. But I’m not so sure that Rove’s 7pm Project is the best device at the moment. It deserves a chance to grow and develop, though, and Charlie Pickering is good.

I’m unsurprised by the comments on Double Take. Why did Channel 7 commission another season of Comedy Inc? Pretty sure no-one needed it.

The bright spark was TV Burp. I had serious doubts but found it highly entertaining. Ed Kavalee is a good fit and the whole thing is very irreverent, fast-paced and watchable.

  24. Andrew B July 24, 2009 at 2:02 pm -

7pm will be on for a while, 10 will give it a good go, especially since its winning the younger demos. Home and Away only doing well with wedding story line, conveniently planned for after Mastercehf to get viewers back.

7 will no doubt give Double Take and TV Burp a few weeks to see how they go. 1 million not bad for a Thursday night. Its a fairly even split betwen 7,9 and 10 at 8.30 Thursday.

  25. Harry July 24, 2009 at 1:46 pm -

Glad to see Rush win its slot with a consistent number! My fave show at the moment, fantastic ep last night! 7PM is in serious trouble.

  26. Ollie July 24, 2009 at 1:18 pm -

“A poor version of Comedy Inc” Wow. Then it must be really bad.

  27. darryn July 24, 2009 at 1:09 pm -

    @crAig

The program list, which can be found on this site, is full of little gems that didn’t meet the rating “numbers” of nine, but will do very nicely on the 2nd channel and a huge % of those shows are skewed towards the 39 and under age group (you know the age group that a certain channels fans keep bleating about?). So it will take viewers from that channel as it has nothing on for the next 6 months. I believe not only will it double ones viewers (gyngells promise) but I think 4% is conservative, especially as 7 doesn’t seem to have anything up its sleeve regarding its 2nd channel and one is just, well one. abc3 is geared for 12 and under, so although it is a welcome addition for the young ones of the family, i doubt if it will impact very much.

  28. koverstreet July 24, 2009 at 12:56 pm -

O noes TV Burp did ok but it may drop off. I hope Seven stick with it or at least bump it to late night if it drops off and not axe it.

  29. vid July 24, 2009 at 12:54 pm -

    @ craig
i will say this.. dance your ass off……. was a huge mistake!!
    should never of been aired..

  30. Mitch July 24, 2009 at 12:53 pm -

CrAig: “Maybe you’re on the money with Gossip Girl”

I highly doubt it, season 2 finished two months ago. By the time Go! comes in…

    Kenny: “the pathetic canned laughter”

I thought it was a live audience?

Anyway, I thought last night’s episode of Rush was great. Glad to see it’s figures are steady. Who knows, they may increase over the 22 episode (!) season.

The 7pm Project has improved over the week, in my opinion. It’s starting to get some polish. I am beginning to wonder though if Dave Hughes is a bit pointless, since I think Charlie has his “area” covered already. They would’ve been better off bringing in Shaun Micallef instead. That would’ve been excellent.

  31. vid July 24, 2009 at 12:52 pm -

    @ craig
i think GO will do well….. cos it has a good mix of programs and old classics.
i hope they bring back more classics like the crosby show, all together now etc.
    and Hey Hey it saturday!!
    good family viewing!
Nine needs to get back to the good old days when kerry packer was around.
him passing away was sad but was also the death of nine in some ways.
dont care if ppl love nine or not.. the fact is this, kerry knew what worked on tv.
nine has a lot of work to do but i do believe things will turn around soon

  32. Janey July 24, 2009 at 12:48 pm -

7pm Project has won the 16-39 demographic easily every night this week and is getting above a 30% share in 18-49. While the total people figures have dropped, if it can maintain around 750,000-950,000 depending on the day, and continue winning in 16-39 and be above a 30% share in 18-49, I don’t think it will be axed anytime soon. The Panel took a while to find an audience and Ten didn’t give up on that show…which eventually became a hit.
To put things in context…Biggest Loser this year got 800,000 on Thursday of the first week from 7pm-7.30pm, and even Masterchef regularly dropped below a million from 7.00pm-7.30pm to begin with. Ten do not have any other show that would do any better than what they are getting at the moment, and this show is supposed to be a long term solution to their 7pm timeslot, so they’re not going to axe it unless it drops to ridiculously low figures.

  33. Ducko July 24, 2009 at 12:40 pm -

Nathan from the extra source. I agree, it’s too Melbourne-centric. Did they really think this was gonna work outside of Melbourne? And I don’t understand why it’s doing OK there. It is crap.

  34. CrAig July 24, 2009 at 12:19 pm -

@ darryn… if Go! is going to be airing everything that gets axed from Channel 9, I don’t think their 4% will come from anywhere, let alone TEN….

I can’t imagine too many people tuning in for Dance ya ass off, APC, THIS afternoon reruns (joke). Maybe you’re on the money with Gossip Girl, but then again, we all know how well 90210 when it reappeared on TEN??

I like the concept, however their execution when push comes to shove will be rubbish. Funniest Home Videos every night and Seinfeld marathons….. How innovative.

  35. Rach July 24, 2009 at 12:16 pm -

Doble Takewas so so terrible. I think their ratings are bad for a premiere episode too considering all the prime time promos they had on 7. I love sketch comedy but somebody needs to do it right – cast writer/performers who can actually be funny please!!!

  36. Kenny July 24, 2009 at 12:10 pm -

Nathan – you’re right. 7PM has suffered a huge Sydney turn-off. It’s beaten by ABC News in every capital city except…….Melbourne. For our household, the big turnoffs are the very unfunny, “what do I say next, can’t think of anything”, Dave Hughes, and the pathetic canned laughter. The Panel did it so much better. “It shouldn’t be compared with The Panel” says David Mott. Why not? Same ripoff format, just unfunny “comedians”.

  37. Scott July 24, 2009 at 12:09 pm -

The ratings details just keep getting more and more interesting:-

    (1) How on Earth does the NRL Footy Show survive? 175,000 in Sydney (the ‘heartland’ of NRL) is so low it defies description. Does it survive simply because the AFL version does well in other states?

    (2) 7:00PM Project is still dipping. I imagine it cannot survive too long if the ratings slip to say 700,000 or less irrespective of demos. In particular the big Sydney market also seems disinterested in this one. With reports that a half hour of this show costs almost 50% more than an episode of Home and Away, it cannot last much longer. I am surprised it has that kind of budget given the large cast, crew, etc for a soapie. Where can all the money be going? Is Roving Enterprises charging some utterly insane producing fee?

    (3) Double Take. A poor version of Comedy Inc with little style or grace. The Kevin Rudd song just went on and on and on – and then they came back and played some more of it during the final minutes. This kind of show has to be very snappy to have any long term survival predict.

  38. Nathan from The Extra Source July 24, 2009 at 11:40 am -

The three co-hosts on the show are Melbourne identities, the show is taped in Melbourne. Probably some reasons why us Sydneysiders dislike it!

  39. RYAN July 24, 2009 at 11:33 am -

seven did well last night with their new shows, the 7pm project just doesnt feel right watching it, rush held onto its viewers which was good, law and order c.i got ok figures for 9.30 but i would much rather sit on my couch and watch rush and then s.v.u at 9.30!!! and i want burn notice on wed 9.30!!! rules of engagement sux! its so not funny and im suprised the first ep for 800. ten should be rushing the filming of bondi vets second season!!

  40. matthew July 24, 2009 at 11:26 am -

MasterChef’s Number were always lower on Friday Night’s due to people having a social life.

Can we expect to see the 7pm project under 700k tonight?

    matt

  41. Ellie July 24, 2009 at 11:18 am -

could someone please tell me where one would find daily demo figures? thanks :O)

  42. Jake July 24, 2009 at 11:18 am -

Great to see Seven rise to the top on a Thursday, well deserved with great new programming & The Amazing Race. Hopefully ratings will keep up.

I love that the Sydney ratings for Q&A on ABC1 was just a bit behind The Footy Show. It could overtake depending on who the panel is.

  43. David Knox July 24, 2009 at 11:09 am -

Ellie… it depends on how the demos stack up. 800s are ok if it’s all 18-49, but sadly it isn’t. So far they won’t be happy but nor will they be surprised. They know this will take time to bed in and I don’t see the axe anytime soon. Sydney figures are a worry.

  44. Andy July 24, 2009 at 11:03 am -

Will the axe swing on 7PM Project before Monday? Will Carrie and Dave mysteriously reappear when Rove returns in August? It’s a shame it isn’t going too well.

TV Burp was fantastic and should go into the 8:30 position to attract more viewers.

  45. Andrew B July 24, 2009 at 11:00 am -

Wonder how much the Snuggie people paid ACA last night?

  46. pietro July 24, 2009 at 11:00 am -

TV Burp wasn’t too bad for the 1st show but it has a long way to go I think before it gets anywhere the standard of the UK show. Did I see there were 6 writers?

  47. Belinda July 24, 2009 at 10:59 am -

Wow it looks like Sydney hates the 7pm Project. They really need to do something about Carrie on that show. She talks over the other two and just contributes nothing.

Double Take was extremely bad. Agree that Underkelly was the only passable sketch. TV Burp was okay. It’s a shame it went so far over time, hopefully they replay it somewhere so I can see the end.

  48. DAN July 24, 2009 at 10:55 am -

bugger i forgot about tv burp is it on youtube anyone thanks

i think that the tool shed has been opened at channel 10 and the axe is about to be sharpened for the 7pm project

  49. Trev July 24, 2009 at 10:46 am -

Someone here said 7pm’s ratings would pick up as the year progressed. It will be lucky to return next week. Maybe they could cook something….Nah! they’d probably burn the water.

  50. Ellie July 24, 2009 at 10:46 am -

oops… I meant good enough for Ten’s David (Mott) LOL

  51. damo July 24, 2009 at 10:44 am -

the nrl footy show last night was probably the worst ever

double take and tv burp wont last another 2 weeks.

  52. Ellie July 24, 2009 at 10:43 am -

What an uninspiring night of television Thursday is… looking at the ratings just then nothing really jumped out at me so I knew I did the right thing by hiring the second season of the tudors from the video store :O)

Well done Rush for another solid night without the support of MC, as for the seven comedy double, lets see if viewers stick around?

7pm project may have to get used to the 800′s

In your opinion David would that be good enough for Ten David – thanks

  53. MUZZA July 24, 2009 at 10:42 am -

I thought TV Burp was really funny. I also thought Ed was good as the link between the clips. Maybe it should be an hour and get rid of Double Take which wasnt really funny.

  54. William July 24, 2009 at 10:41 am -

‘Rush’ held niceley, gaining serious ground over its lead in and winning its timeslot…

  55. darryn July 24, 2009 at 10:40 am -

Good to see 7 take the lead back. They will win the week quite comfortably now. Quite an amazing effort.

  56. Nathan from The Extra Source July 24, 2009 at 10:39 am -

Another signifiacnt loss of the 7pm Project, more than 400,00 since its debut 4 days ago. I wonder what next week will bring. I recon 600,000 by weeks out next week.

  57. Craig July 24, 2009 at 10:37 am -

ETA – good to see Rush win it’s time slot!

  58. Craig July 24, 2009 at 10:29 am -

@vid – how do you know GO! will do well?

  59. Jed July 24, 2009 at 10:12 am -

Yeah Rush was very bland last night. Not the best, i prefer that to Seven’s line up though. Flicked to Double Take and it was terrible. Not funny at all and just embarrassing. I did like TV Burp though. I thought it was quite funny and clever. But Rush wins for me.

  60. jaxmachine July 24, 2009 at 9:55 am -

Please Please, let Amazing Race have good figures – so it remains in it’s rightful spot in primetime

It’s still is the best reality show on tv

  61. cpandilo July 24, 2009 at 9:51 am -

vid, it would be a worry considering Nine’s currently shameful main channel.

  62. Trev July 24, 2009 at 9:44 am -

Newstopia five nights a week, hosted by Milo Kerrigan….way to go. Milo has more talent than that 7 pm gaggle.

  63. Andrew B July 24, 2009 at 9:05 am -

Funniest skit on Double Take was UnderKelly, but they let the skit run too long. Rest of show was (unfortunately) quite ordinary. Being first episode, it should do OK. TV Burp was much better. Amazing Race should give Getaway a run for its money.

  64. darryn July 24, 2009 at 8:31 am -

I think a 4% share is quite realistic for go! From the proposed programming, I can’t see much of that 4% coming from 9 itself or 7 but rather a good part of it from 10. Unless 10 can get some decent and exclusive content for its one channel they will rue the direction they have taken. So far abc look like they are the ones taking the right lead with it’s normal programming on abc1, playback and “cultish” shows on abc2 and of course the upcoming abc3. 7 needs to pull there finger out and start catching up with the others unless they waited to see exactly what the others have/had planned to tailor something unique of there own. if thats the case, goal achieved, not shows us what ya got :P

  65. RichoTB July 24, 2009 at 8:23 am -

Just found the full ep of the Double Take premiere, there are no words to describe how horrible it was. I turned it off after ten minutes. It was about as funny as a 2.5 men episode. I expect it to go the way of the Wedge. As for TV Burp, the ‘highlights’ on Seven’s website were dodgy too, pity as the ads for it sending up Merlin, Biggest Loser, etc looked promising. I enjoyed the early days of Comedy Inc and even some of The Big Bite’s sketches but neither of these shows hit the mark. Its a shame The Chaser’s WOE is finishing up next week, it may have lost some spark this year but its still a lot more entertaining than what the commercial nets call comedy.

  66. RichoTB July 24, 2009 at 8:04 am -

I missed Double Take and TV Burp last night…were they any good? And is there any encores or place to watch them online? Seven’s website only has a few ‘highlights’ clips

  67. vid July 23, 2009 at 11:57 pm -

    @ Andrew B
does it bother u that GO will do well??

  68. Lucas July 23, 2009 at 11:05 pm -

Watched Rush last week for the first time and while it seemed ok, it didnt blow me away, so thought Id give 7s comedy double a go.
Why cant anyone do sketch comedy anymore? Double Take is terrible. The sketches arent funny and the laugh track is so obvious its canned.
TV Burp is an interesting (copied) idea, but its done so cheesy I found it just irritating.
While Id prefer a laugh over drama, its definately Rush for me next week.

  69. l3xm4rk July 23, 2009 at 10:42 pm -

I really don’t mind 7pm, but can see where people are coming from. I think the hosts are getting a bit more settled but it’s really very strange to see 15 new correspondants each night… I too, think they should drop the serious stuff and focus on the funny. Just so long as it’s not like TV Burp (omg, that was so crap).

On the other hand, sign Shaun Micallef to do a Newstopia-type show 5 nights a week and you’ll have a hit, and not just in the key demos.

  70. john July 23, 2009 at 8:21 pm -

    7pm Project is awful tv.Too many hosts,too much going on,a live audience??As i said previous 2 weeks,done & dusted.It’s just too Rovey,you know?

  71. Ellie July 23, 2009 at 7:50 pm -

Dear David Mott (or his mole who reads this)

For 4 nights now I have watched your new show the 7pm Project as 2.5 unfunny Men and Home and Away just don’t appeal to me (and sometimes I just cant face the doom and gloom of ABC news). I wanted to love it! But I just cant watch it anymore!

I don’t mind any of them individually as presenters/entertainers (well perhaps Hughes is a little one dimensional) but by the end of the show (which quite frankly couldn’t have come soon enough tonight as the comedy/news thing just isn’t working for me), I could quite happily of smacked each of their smug little faces hard, which is not a good sign.

So you have one more night to impress me.. to whip them into shape…. but if by 7.30 tomorrow evening I am still being driven to want to perform bodily harm on the panel… The ABC news it will be and you will lose another 7pm viewer!

p.s Bring back that delicious vet!

  72. Darryn July 23, 2009 at 6:23 pm -

7 will probably pull 32-34 on Friday with news/tt/h&A/bh&g and followed by carl v coll in afl states. The only one of those shows I would watch would be the footy, but alas I’m not in an afl state.

  73. RYAN July 23, 2009 at 4:41 pm -

neighbours did well again last night which was good to see, simpsons also delivered for once and both eps getting over a mill is great, sv,u i will keep saying, its not going to work on god dam wed( you listening David Mott, move to 9:30 Thur!) and house is just boring, why not bring new eps of Burn Notice to wed 9.30??? when burn notice was on i recall it hovering around the 700,000 mark and at times 900,000, so why not bring it back??

  74. RYAN July 23, 2009 at 4:38 pm -

i agree, th 7pm project needs to get rid of serious news. dave hughes cant be serious if he tried, cant tell if carrie is being serious or not telling the news, dont like the main host!
ten still winning the week, should do better tonight with rush, and 2mrw with dance starting at 7.30 might pull in some extra viewers, also ten finally has a good movie on sat which might give them a good share

  75. Andrew B July 23, 2009 at 4:25 pm -

@BM-dog – cause 7 always wins Friday nights off the back of AFL in AFL states. Movies in Syd and Bris certainly don’t help its win! Also 7 news, TT, H&A rate really well so they already have a head start on the night.

  76. Harry July 23, 2009 at 4:12 pm -

I have one problem with 7pm. Why discuss serious news? It’s meant to be funny so discuss outrageous stories for christs sake! More guests too! Less awkwardness, more laughter!

  77. Ryano July 23, 2009 at 3:23 pm -

Ouch at 7pm project…I think they need to lay off the serious news a bit. It needs to be a more fun and wacky news show.

  78. Goonies July 23, 2009 at 2:58 pm -

I would have thought the 7PM project would address all the twittering and comments etc about their performance – after all they are supposed to be the savy tech generation so why not discuss what people said, it would be entertaining and give the show a level of interaction – a way to connect to their new audience.

I never expect a punchline from Carrie cause she was never funny on Rove. Her voice gets more drone-like every ep.

  79. Dino July 23, 2009 at 2:29 pm -

The panel on The 7pm Project were pretty quick to mention how well the Masterchef Finale rated, and how low 60 Minutes rated on their first episode on Monday. I wonder if they’ll be so quick to mention their own dwindling ratings.

The show was also third in Ten’s target 18-49 demo, and Mott said this show would live or die by the demos. Someone should be making funeral arrangements.

i’m not sure about the 7PM’s ratings. dropped 400k in 3 days. it’s a good show but if it doesn’t win ten’s targeted demos i don’t think they will be happy. ten doesn’t have a strong 6-7 lineup, and probably never will, so they need a strong 7:00 show to hold the network together. they realised this with BL and MC. if it doesn’t pick up and hold above 900k by the end of the year i don’t think it will be returning.

big lol at perfect couple. just another aussie flop from nine in ’09. but this one started its promotion during the logies 3 months ago.

7 are on a roll succesfully launching airways, surf patrol, true beauty, and world’s strictest all in the last few days i wonder if they can keep it up tonight with their new lineup.
