I agree with Ruth, the Jarvis character is much more entertaining than Waverly. The show seems to have picked up a lot this year too. Just watched Monday’s episode and really enjoyed it.

City Homicide is so much better this season, I’ve enjoyed every episode so far – New writers? – The Terry Jarvis character really fitting into the new series plots. I much prefer his roll to Noni Hazlehurst’s somewhat bland character, she’s had better parts.
Love the new female detective, she fits in really well.

good cop bad cop refreshing role that he plays, very real and sometimes scary, he has nailed the part and not copied any other formula shows, actors etc etc well done p.s. its also a good series with the other actors being believable.

I like him but Noni Hazelhurst’s Bernice Waverley is a better character. Plus she adds a female voice rather than another highly-testosteroned male like Jarvis.

I spoke to Noni by chance the other day and she was missing from the first few episodes of this season because she was doing a play in Melbourne. I really hope she returns next week.
