Some shows have been interrupted in the US which affects fastracking. Click on the show’s Tag for the latest info. Seems it is now headed for 7TWO.

What happened to Mercy, it was only on for 4 or 5 episodes and then disappeared or have I missed something

Does anyone know what the song was at the end of the Mercy episode on 19/Oct/2009?

Mercy’s actually getting a bit more promo time lately – you’ll hear snippets of Damien Leith’s new song played (not that he’s in it!). I love medical dramas and no, franz, seeing the ‘real thing’ doesn’t entertain and inform me like a drama does thanks!
If you believe the blurb, Mercy will have a different attitude and perspective to the other ones. That Ch 7 is showing it right after the ‘Flash Forward’ premier explains why they’ve given FF more ad-time than Mercy. I guess they hope the audience will stay on to the new show.

    Boring as hell Medical Soap.

For Crying Out Loud Go Visit a Hospital on Open Day If they have them and see how they work.
Why Not something everyone can enjoy.

This is probably a good move. By airing this now Seven aren’t oversaturating the airwaves with medical dramas. If they held this over til next year then there would be Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Trauma and Mercy all running at the same time. That said Trauma probably would have been a better idea as its more of an action-based procedural (like ER) compared to Mercy.

Russell, Seven has been advertising this show for a couple of weeks now.

  8. Jerome September 18, 2009 at 8:45 am -

russel, promotion started ages ago, and this morning the ads have the airdate,

    plenty of time.

10 days of promotion to get a new US drama up?
how on earth can you get the word out on a new show to australians in 10 days.
    this will fail for seven.

Suggest there’ll be alot of fine tuning for that week, but so long as the changes are in time for all guides inc printed – as the last thing a network should want to do is have people not knowing when a show is on giving viewers the chance to try shows on other channels and sticking with them.

Got to be the biggest week [the Spet 27 week] for changing viewing habits after the first ratings week of the year.

Finally some more fast tracking, will they promote it as such?

It’s good to see a decent number of shows coming here only weeks after the US on 7, 9 and 10.

ahh thanks Brodie. I wasn’t sure if the US had a 2hr premiere or not. 9 still has a TBA listed for 930 Monday 28/09. Its almost like 9 and 7 are waiting to see who makes the first move

  13. nick September 17, 2009 at 4:25 pm -

wow didn’t think they’d put two new fast tracked shows on the same night. Should do very well now

  14. Brodie September 17, 2009 at 4:16 pm -

@ jay jay. It won’t be a two hour premiere, as it’s only a one hour premiere in the US and within less than a week of airing here.

I’d guess a repeat of Criminal Minds, or perhaps another episode of Darklands will fill the slot for an extra week.

    That’s weird.

Bloody hell. If the show was about euthanasia administering doctors (as the title suggests) it may have intrigued me enough to watch the pilot, but this is just plain lazy and derivative of basically every other medical procedural in existence. -.-

    @ Jerome

I believe you mean “risky.” “Risque” means something completely different. ;-)

  17. GuanoLad September 17, 2009 at 3:38 pm -

On the one hand – standard boring medical soap.

On the other hand – Michelle Trachtenberg.

    I’m torn.

  18. Jerome September 17, 2009 at 3:08 pm -

ooooh risque!! 2 new shows back to back.
last time 7 tried it with private practice and lipstick jungle it was an epic fail, they came 3rd for the sunday night and bogged them down for the whole week.

not sure about this show, doesn’t look like nothing special, it’s NBC’s answer to greys anatomy, but if it doesnt work i think it will fit nicely into Mon 10:30 after DH/B&S next year.

also, good to see so many shows fasttracked from all the networks this year. Flashforward, CSI, NCIS, NCIS:LA, The Amazing Race, the mentalist, lie to me, Mercy, glee, the forgotten, 2.5men, any i forgot? quite impressive.

  19. jay jay September 17, 2009 at 2:59 pm -

does this suggest 2 hour premiere of Flashforward on Monday 28/09?
