  1. I have a possible role for Susie Porter in the following: An Un-Australian Story: “Snow in The Pocket.”…. the movie

You’ve possibly seen these 3 cars….. But, could you be one of the main characters or cast? A leading role?….. An extra?….. or, are you, like most, just a spectator?

    The Story so far…..

A Swiss woman meets and marries an idealistic, Australian schoolteacher while she is staying on an extended holiday in the small village of The Pocket near Mullumbimby which is close to Byron Bay. With little English, a love of John Farnham, INXS and Yothu Yindi music and Aboriginal art, her education into the language, culture and politics of Australia is gained rapidly by exposure to the RSL and Bowling club Bingo scenes of Bangalow, Lightning Ridge and Old Bar, her tennis club successes and her husband’s employment in the education sectors as a tutor of suspended students, university Lecturer, Principal and Education Administrator.

Set against the Howard and Rudd political transition, what develops is the tragedy of marriage breakdown following the husband’s loss of employment and his subsequent fight for exposure through political campaigning, media coverage and court challenges. The red, yellow and black of the left vehicle and the right vehicle’s balloons, is a connection to the sacking of his School Council and himself while attempting to enroll an Aboriginal family’s 3 children.

  2. Absolutely stupid timeslot SBS have chosen. Any info on whether they will be replaying it on SBS TWO David like ABC does with Spicks & Specks on ABC2. I still hope it does well because it’s a great show. Don Hany and William McInnes should have both been nominated for Logies for their performances in the first series.

  3. I switch to SBS to see what was on, East West 101 was on, watch it and love it. Great story writing and great acting. It is one of the best aussie show around and can’t wait to watch the next one.

  4. I’ve never seen any of this show or even know what it’s about, but since it’s name pops up on TVT constantly, I guess it must have something going for it, and will take a look at the first series :p
