Lifetime Achievement coming for Betty White
From The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls and even Boston Legal -America loves Betty White.

Veteran actress Betty White will receive a Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment at next year’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.
White has already won six Emmys and is best known for her roles in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls.
Since her career break in 1949, when she has also been a regular on late-night talk shows going back to Jack Paar, Merv Griffin and Johnny Carson and game shows such as The Match Game, To Tell the Truth, I’ve Got A Secret, Liar’s Club and Password. She also produced and hosted The Betty White Show.
In recent years she has appeared in Boston Legal and Ugly Betty -the latter appearance parodying herself.
“Whether creating some of television’s most indelible characters, plunging into film roles with joyous gusto or perfecting the art of the quip as a television panelist and host, Betty White has entertained audiences with her impeccable comic timing and remarkable wit for more than sixty years,” said SAG president Alan Rosenberg.
“Her lifelong devotion to the welfare of animals, manifest in her work as an author, producer and philanthropist, is further evidence of her tremendous humanity and meaningful contributions in so many important areas.”
White is currently shooting the Disney feature You Again and recently appeared in romantic comedy The Proposal.
The SAG Awards take place on January 23rd.

Betty, what a blockbuster, love her in everything but I do have a favourite. The wonderfully foul mouthed old girl with the giant alligator as a pet. Brilliant.

I’m amazed how often she’s popped up in so many shows, especially in recent years. She’s was great as Stephanie’s mother in Bold & the Beutiful. I didn’t know she was in Ugly Betty, wonder when we will see that?
She was Amazing in Bold & Beautiful playing Stephanie’s Mother. Anything she does is Gold. Anybody who likes Bold and did not catch her in the show or even just likes Betty and does not care for the show should check it on You Tube, its quite chilling the way she plays it. “Stephanie Forrester confronts her mother Ann Douglas” is what its under on YouTube.
She happy Betty is getting what she deserves after such a long career,she given me so many laughs over the years from the many shows she has starred in.
Great news, couldn’t think of a more deserving person. Not matter what show she is in, she always make you smile.
Well done, Betty !!!… lets hope she shares some more St. Olaf stories with us all !!
