Great black humour.
Not sure why people think it’s “not realistic”?
Or that Jackie’s giving nurses a bad name?
Is TV, not a documentary!
Do they think police/ courtroom dramas are realistic?

I want to see Nurse Jackie. Found it by accident, never seen it again, not Another casualty? Come on! Are we all to only watch shows picked as suitable by a small group who apparently don’t represent me?

Such a promising show, talented actress, good script – even the theme music & opening shots…. come on……. let’s give this one a fair go. I actually told friends (a first) only to be unable to ever find it again it seems!!

Guess I’ll have to wait the usual couple of years until some one realizes we don’t all want the same show under different names. Your know, Crime Scene this or Crime Scene that or More Bloody Crime than you can shake a stick at…….

The script for Ep 1 was tight, edgy and surprising. However there was an overabundance of stereotypical characters, and worrying depictions of unethical nursing and medical practice.

having heard a rave review on abc i overlloked the first episode-howver

for thelast two weeks it appear of have been replce by some moronic show

called rav something.

has jackie been junked or rescheduled ?

I loved this show! Like many others found it by fluke when I was just about to switch off and go to bed, but became glued to my seat. Pity 10 has it on so late, and where on earth has it gone? Please don’t tell me they dumped it after airing just the pilot! Bring back Nurse Jack!!

An amazing pilot episode.. only gripe..why does the token gay character have to be camp.. there is a rainbow of personalities to choose from.

OMG. I so wanted to sleep at 9 then get my alarm to wake me up at 10:25 for a half-hour show! Please TEN! Play the series again but earlier! Have an encore presentation! This show (plus Glee) could seriously help boost ratings! I’m begging you guys!!!
TY for adding new shows which would appeal to younger generations! NJ would be a fun show to watch!
I read on the TV guide on Sunday that it was a show to watch and the author wrote “shame on TEN for putting it on so late”. And finally a doctor drama unlike Grey’s Anatomy and All Saint’s!!!

David, you’re review was right on the money! The final scene was brilliant! I had high expectations for NJ after I read your review, and I wasn’t disappointed. NJ is now my favourite show and I’ve only watched 1 episode. Agree with you David and all the other comments however – this show is wasted in its current timeslot. I don’t blame Ten for putting NJ late on Sunday night however – Dexter is similarly critically acclaimed and despite trying Monday nights, still only receives mediocre numbers. Unlike Dexter however, I think this show would attract a larger audience if it was in a better slot – its not nearly as visually explicit in the way Dexter is and NJ is a very likable character, unlike Dexter who you either love or hate.
