Returning: Friday Night Lights

friday-night-lightsThe third series of US drama Friday Night Lights will air on Arena in October. The highly praised series is a critics’ favourite for its realistic portrayal of Middle America and its sensitive portrayal of its central characters.

Coming back after winning the State Championship, the Panthers will need all the help they can get once the next football season arrives.

Season 3, which aired in the US last October, kicks off as Tami’s first major decision as principal of Dillon High stirs up controversy, Tyra is advised that she may not be able to get into a good college due to her poor GPA and Smash struggles to figure out his future following his knee injury.

It will screen from Sunday October 4th at 9.30pm.

    OMG so stoked i was devo when they took it off fox8 without notice, but so excited that its back on the air!!! They need to start importing the DVD series to JBHIFI as its a pain trying to buy them on ebay sometimes!

    Awesome news – love this show! Also just saw that Season 1 is finally being released on DVD on September 30….def one for my collection!

    love this show, season 2 was heavily impacated (and shortened) by the writers stike but very much looking forward to this….I love Riggins…I always like the bad boy…

    A fantastic drama. My mates and I all love FNL, I challenge anybody to sit through season three with dry eyes. Never has one show made a whole audience of male viewers well up with tears this many times in a season.

    Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can’t lose.

    LOL just after I ordered the DVD from Amazon, well at least my copy id 16×9. Why hasn’t Arena updated it’s format yet?
