Rove: Upcoming guests

rovetIs Rove about to interview his missus?

Updated: Tasma Walton is guest on the show this Sunday. Maybe the questions will be “Could you pick up some milk on the way home from City Homicide?,” “What did you do with my favourite shirt dammit?” or “If I interviewed you on Rove would people say it was totally incestuous?” Probably.

Of course, McManus has always been fiercely protective of his private life. Since they wed maybe there is less need to maintain it.

Turns out Tasma Walton will be talking about her debut novel, “Heartless.”

Other guests are Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Lisa Mitchell performing ‘Coin Laundry’.

On Sunday 11th the guests are Drew Barrymore, Hamish & Andy, & Vanessa Amorosi performing ‘This Is Who I Am” and Delta Good-room.

Correction: Jason Bateman is in.

Say hi to the missus for me….

He is really struggling for guests lately. I love Tony Martin, but last night’s show was bad.

Belinda appeared on rove a few times. I think its great that Tasma’s on. I thought it would be to promote her book. Well why not come on and promote it. You also have to remember Tasma appeared on Rove when he first started and he always said she was one of his favourite guests.

You can’t compare Kyle playing his wife’s music and Rove helping Tasma promote her book. For starters Tasma has got talent.

It’s similar to Portia DeRossi appearing on the Ellen show this year, that was a bit awkward at first but it had its nice moments, i think the response was generally good too.

I wonder if Rove will clean up his act with Tasma Walton around or not.

I still would like to know why Ron Steward and Myf Warhurst weren’t around or mentioned on Rove’s special 10 Year Anniversary show?

@Steve – according to Wikipedia Ron is still alive. If he has died Rove definitely would have said something about it.

As for Myf now that her radio show is no longer and all the shows of Spicks & Specks have been taped, what is she up to?

If she had been on Rove two weeks ago, Walton could have promoted the release of the movie ‘Blessed’ which she appears in. As it is, why will she be on Rove?

Belinda Emmett appeared in Rove as well. What’s the big deal? Should he not interview a successful actress simply because he’s married to her? It’s not as though she’s a struggling unknown who is desperate for publicity.

    @ Nathan

The difference is… Tasma is a succesful actress in her own right. And has done so without the help of Rove.
Kyle’s wife can harldy be considered a succes, with her only claim to fame being that she ‘kind of’ won a reality singing contest 10 yrs ago.
That being said…. I couldn’t care less about either personality interviewing whomever they want. It’s hardly worth screaming ‘unacceptable’ about.

I’m interested in seeing how they’ll promote Lisa Mitchell’s appearance on the show…they’ll probably show clips of her from Idol, singing the big, melisma-filled power ballads that Idol’s female contestants have become known for.

Bad idea…but then I guess with Rove’s ratings taking a dive with the later timeslot, barely anyone will see this anyway.

I think the public and the media should hammer rove for this.
Remember all the fuss when Kyle played his wife’s music on the radio…
Well i think the is unacceptable…
