If I were a news exec at one of the commercials I would constantly have a team on standby to travel at a moments notice around Asia-Pacific for such an occasion. And I would have activated it around 5am this morning when the story broke a significant tsunami had been generated. Natural disasters, terrorism, other human disasters like air crashes are a common thing in our region. News departments always need to be ready. I reckon they could do a better job.
