Airdate: A Model Daughter

modeldTEN’s telemovie A Model Daughter- The Killing of Caroline Byrne will air on Wednesday, November 4 at 8.30pm.

Based on the death of the model in Sydney, 1995, it looks at her father’s battle for justice in proving that his daughter was murdered.

It was Tony Byrne’s belief that his daughter was murdered by her boyfriend Gordon Wood, chauffeur and personal assistant to stockbroker the late Rene Rivkin. His determination to bring his daughter’s killer to justice, coupled with the persistence of several journalists to keep the police investigation open, led to the conviction of Wood in 2008 -13 years after her death.

Garry McDonald (The Rage in Placid Lake, Mary Bryant, Mother and Son) features as Tony Byrne and David Lyons (ER, Sea Patrol, Blue Heelers), as Gordon Wood.

The cast also features Tiriel Mora (The Castle, Frontline) as Rene Rivkin, Cariba Heine (pictured, Blue Water High, H20: Just Add Water) as Caroline Byrne and Gyton Grantley (Underbelly, East West 101) as Andrew Blanchette.

Written by Peter Gawler (Underbelly, Water Rats) the Screentime production, is executive producers Des Monaghan, Greg Haddrick and Rick Maier, produced by Karl Zwicky and directed by Tony Tilse ( Murder in the Outback, Scorched, City Homicide, East of Everything).

    Just confirming no NCIS: LA / Three Rivers this week from the US due to sporting commitments.

    There is a break in the U.S with NCIS LA so good on TEN for not showing repeats.
    THis is a major Aust TV Movie production. I will be watching!!
