Major golf tournaments alternate tee times on the first two days to expose player all conditions. So if Tiger tees off at 1:00pm on thursday, he will tee off at around 7:00am on Friday. His tee off times on the weekend are dependant on where he finishes after the first two rounds, if indeed he makes the cut.

I’ve heard Eddie is hosting, not sure about any other commentators.Maybe
IBF… doubtful any of the former 7 guys would get a gig.

Lets face it, Nine just want to show Tiger from 1st tee to 18th green..and nothing else. Their 12.30 start will be about 10 mins from when Tiger tees off you wait and see

Just realised a mistake in the article. Robert Allenby isn’t coming down to play the Masters. Read in the paper last week he wouldn’t be coming

I don’t think the anti-siphoning to do with that if the FTA and Pay TV parties agree, like with the British Open before last year when Fox used to have early round coverage during primetime and then Nine would take over at about 11.30. I was expecting mroe coverage from fox Sports although it doesn’t apply to me anyway.

Who’s going to be commentating for this I wonder.

@ newtaste: it’s due to the current anti-siphoning laws that Fox Sports’ coverage cannot begin before Nine’s. Anyway, the morning session usually involves lesser known players.

Play starts at 7:00am for Round 1 & 2 and at 7:50am for Rounds 3 & 4. How can FOX Sports claim “complete Live coverage of the tournament” when coverage starts 4-5 hours after play starts? And why aren’t Nine and Fox covering the Pro-Am on the Wednesday?
