I’d probably be compelled to watch it if they had a geeky beauty snuck in as one of those “We-Have-An-Advantage-But-If-Someone-Finds-Out-It’s-Instant-Death” type things.

It would make things interesting, but she wouldn’t last if she has a Triforce or Konami Code tattoo, or something.

Hot ladies and geeky looking guys— This show clearly nails the essence of the program. Whether or not they are paid actors/actresses this show is so easy to watch and in a level, engages you with their innocence of both the intellectual and relational realms of human society.

I disagree with the producers getting fooled by the supposedly ‘geeks’. These producers are smart enough to know who they’re hiring and what these ‘talents’ are capable of. Seven may have been asked to chase young viewers as their channel is seen as an old channel. Nine has the advertiser focused viewers and now the youth-focused GO!. This is a tactic: It is more likely that they intentionally fooled those people who think they got fooled by these geeks.

These producers are smart people, not geeks…

There is something about the Australian version compared to the US version that just seems so off but I can’t put my finger on it….maybe they are all paid actors…

Just because he got another geek pregnant doesn’t mean he’s not a geek. Can you really imagine the ladies queueing around the block for him? Whichever glasses he is or isn’t wearing.

I think the casting of geeks for the show was quite difficult (they seemed to be having problems finding guys). Which all makes sense really. If you’re a shy and socially awkward “geek” you won’t really be volunteering to be on TV in front of a million people.

I have noticed that Beauty And The Geek seems to be promoting Corin a hell of a lot more than all the other geeks and beauties. He wins every other challenge, and he virtually dominated the promos and “sneak peeks” to the point that we had practically already met him before the show even started.

Interesting that the glasses in this publicity photo aren’t the same as the glasses he wears on the show (wayfarers). I guess the wardrobe department was still getting his character together when this photo was shot.

I have met him at a chemsitry conference. Didn’t seem like a geek. Haven’t really watched it enough to see how geeky he is on it but he wasn’t socialy awkward when I met him.
