The ABC has switched the timeslot for the premiere of the Australian film Samson and Delilah.
It will now air at 8:30pm Sunday November 22nd.
The ABC is hoping the screening will attract a much bigger audience in this timeslot than its original slot of Tuesday November 24th.
The film is nominated for eight IF Awards which will be held a few days earlier, and was the winner of the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and Australia’s official entry for Best Foreign Film at the 82nd Academy Awards.
The Making Samson & Delilah doco remains at Thursday November 26 at 9.35pm.

Damn thats the night of the Idol Finale.. I’ll probably tape it and watch Idol instead.
Very un-ABC for them to change their mind, but I think they’ve done the right thing here.

Much better. Wouldn’t have watched on Tuesday with so much other programming on but now it’s on Sunday I may well tune in.
