Jack Newton got sacked from seven??
I liked jack…..
why was that?
cos seven lost the masters?

after nine have broadcast the woods masters, doubt they will get the rights to golf next year

yer although considering Benaud is retiring from all forms of broadcasting after this summer and has his best days behind him (harsh, but fact of life), no point using him for something like this..

Happy to see Jack Newton get a gig here but cannot stand Bretgt Ogle. As for the other commentators they are all professional broadcasters now albeit mostly recognised for cricket of football.

Don’t forget that Brian Taylor and Dwayne Russell are ex AFL players currenlty calling NBL on Fox Sports and Russell called a myriad of sports for the ABC. Mark Nicholas is really no different to Sandy Roberts calling tennis, golf and footy at 7. Even Benaud has remarked in the past he’d have liked to commentate golf.

@Johnson, they actually sent Healy to the Masters at Augusta the last year Nine had the rights
