This is a very entertaining, well done series that deserves much, much higher ratings than what it is currently getting. As usual, Ten stuffs up a good series. If Seven had picked this up, it would probably be rating very well. Ten just can’t take a trick.

The episode on Monday night that was filmed in Louisiana was fantastic. I found the stuff about Hurricane Katrina that was covered to be particularly fascinating. And the alligator footage – wow!!!!

American Cuisine is a very thin book with blank pages. Over-done fatty stodge is the name of their cookbook. However, the recent immigrants still put the effort in to sourcing decent ingredients and cooking real food. And I have to say, I do love a good Reuben Sandwich (fried). sounds like Jamie Oliver tracked down the good stuff.

God I hope he does my favourite American dish of all time. A dish I was introduced to when I lived in Miami a few years ago. Southern Fried Chicken Steak. Its a simple one – take a steak, cook it, then cover in chicken flavoured breadcrumbs and then deep fry it in Chicken fat. Healthy – Not, Delicious – Yes.

Looking forward to this series.
