footysIn the lead up to Sunday’s final between the Parramatta Eels and Melbourne Storm, tonight’s NRL Footy Show Grand Final is such a big affair it even brings out some of the AFL Footy Show‘s personalities, Sam Newman and Billy Brownless.

The show airs at 9:30pm tonight on Nine in Sydney and Brisbane.

· Parramatta’s two inspirational Nathans – Captain Courageous Nathan Cayless and the modern-day Mr Perpetual Motion, Nathan Hindmarsh.

· Melbourne’s two scheming leaders – captain Cameron Smith and halfback Cooper Cronk.

· The Bulldogs’ holy trinity – CEO Todd Greenberg, coach Kevin Moore and captain Andrew Ryan.

· Three young guns from the Broncos – Ben Te’o, Jharal Yow Yeh and destructive Dave Taylor (who joins the Rabbitohs in 2010).

· A trio of the game’s great on-field brains – Scott Prince (Titans), Johnathan Thurston (Cowboys) and Robbie Farah (Wests Tigers).

· Two of this year’s NSW Origin stars – Kurt Gidley (Knights) and Trent Barrett (Sharks).

· The Flying Twins – try-scoring machines Josh Morris (Bulldogs) and brother Brett (Dragons).

· An all-time great – Andrew Ettingshausen (Sharks) who will be honoured in the 300-plus games club at Sunday’s Grand Final.

PLUS:

· With Grand Final fever running white hot, ALL the Melbourne Storm and Parramatta Eels players have their say on vox pops from inside their camps – interviewed by Geelong AFL legend Billy Brownless and Parra warhorse Nathan Hindmarsh.

· Darryl “Big Man” Brohman (dressed as Fui Fui Moi Moi) goes live in Parramatta’s Church Street Mall along with Wests Tiger Beau Ryan (dressed as Billy Slater).

· Outrageous Sam Newman delivers a special Street Talk from the hometown of the Storm.

· THE FOOTY SHOW exclusively previews the sensational new movie Lethal Wendell II, starring “Fatty” Vautin and Wendell Sailor.

· Hogan’s Heroes returns with Parra legend Peter Sterling playing Colonel Klink and Darryl Brohman as Sergeant Schultz.

· A battler gets a chance to win $1 million in the Keno competition finale

AFL AFL AFL ? sorry ladies, i don’t watch the AFL Footy Show.

    Testing the waters I presume…

I guess Sydney viewers better get used to “More Than A Game”…

The AFL footy show should be show Australia wide on the HD channel at 8.30 pm next year. I cannot believe that the NRL version is coming back again.

I predict some backlash after the “black baby throwing” and the animal abuse inflicted on the eel.

The people on the NRL footy show should just stick to talking about football and not attempt humour, its seriously cringe worthy.

    Bring back Matty Johns

The final was only good for 2 things fatty and the matty preview sketches that was all
I cant believe nine dosent listen to the people, Were the 1ns who have to put up with ur political crap

I assume anyways that Matty Johns has been treated by nine exceptionally well. But Matty the ppl need you in 2010. And we need the continuation of the 3 johns brother sketch to continue. That was hilarious

hopefully this is last time vossy appears on screen. he has the biggest ego in television, he thinks he runs the nrl and know best. he is so annoying and makes the show completely unwatchable.

yeh doesnt rate in excitment for me…and the fact they are doing it in the normal studio…says alot…this could be and probably will be Fatty’s last…. if you believe the gossip…

Can’t wait for this one…Looooove the Footy Show…but they need to bring back Matty Johns…he was good fun!!!

Why isn’t it moved to 8.30pm like the AFL Footy Show. I’m predicting it’ll be Friday before this finishes given last the show went until 11.40pm. Such and underwhelming line up compared to the AFL Footy Show.
